IDES is amazing! So much help for so many people (after a typhoon hit our Philippine town), and they made it as easy and quick as possible. Thank you, IDES!
The two back to back projects in Jamaica after Hurricane Beryl took off roofs and left many hungry and homeless our "boots on the ground" Pastor Roydel Dixon made things happen. Villages fed, people back to church, roofs restored and kids back to school. Thank you IDES
IDES has been invaluable in its support for Rural India Christian Mission, with thousands of dollars in support over several years for disaster relief, vocational training, and other means to help spread the gospel, resulting in hundreds, if not thousands, of souls turning to the one true God and His son, Jesus Christ. IDES is very well organized and managed with a mondern web portal for applying for, administering, and reporting on grant activities. Rest assured that any donations to IDES are being wisely used to support and bring more souls into the Lord's kingdom. Thank you, IDES!
I highly recommend IDES for their unwavering commitment to meeting both the physical and spiritual needs of communities around the world. As a Christian organization, IDES exemplifies the heart of Christ in their service, providing timely and generous grants to partners in moments of crisis. Their quick response to emergency needs and proactive support for long-term development projects have made them a trusted and invaluable ally in our mission. Their dedication to disaster response, evangelism, and disciple-making is a testament to their core values, and they continue to make a profound impact on the lives of those they serve. IDES is a fantastic partner, and their work is a powerful example of faith in action. KORE Foundation
IDES has been our faithful and loving partner for around two decades now as we/Harvest for Christ Foundation, Inc. spread God’s message of love and hope for the needy and the brokenhearted in the Philippines! IDES has generously partnered with us not only in disaster and emergency assistance projects (these has been the majority of the IDES/HFCF projects), but also in children feeding, Bible distribution and jail ministries. Hundreds of jail inmates have accepted the Lord into their broken lives and have found renewed hope in God!
God be praised for IDES and her faithful stewardship and perseverance in bringing the gospel message to all nations, tribes and people.!!

IDES has been our faithful partner for more than a decade now in God’s kingdom work in the Philippines. Their generous grants have allowed us, the Harvest for Christ Foundation, Inc., to touch thousands of lives of both the saved and the unsaved, laymen and pastors , in
churches and para-churches, as we all declare that “ God is indeed everywhere, and our task is to make Him visible” (as quoted by P. Yancey). From medical missions, livelihood projects, disaster and emergency assistance, rebuilding destroyed churches and houses, to giving free Bibles nationwide and providing Covid assistance food packs, IDES was used by God to touch hearts amidst pain and brokenness, and calm His servants and lost souls, “ My grace is sufficient for you .”
We are so inspired and encouraged to heed the call of Jesus, “… the fields are white and ready unto the harvest…” that we tirelessly offer our hearts and hands as His laborers whom He has called forth to serve.
God has so blessed us, and God’s people here in the Philippines, with the loving and humble servant-leaders at IDES. We give glory to God, and acknowledge with deep gratitude, these dedicated men and women He has called out to
help bring the saving gospel to all the ends of the earth.
We wholeheartedly recommend IDES for their exceptional support and partnership! Akonda Ministries has been blessed to have IDES by our side for years, and their commitment to our mission in Africa is unparalleled. IDES has consistently provided unwavering encouragement, lifted us up in prayer, and offered comprehensive support in every aspect of our ministry. Their dedication extends beyond disaster relief, addressing hunger relief, community development, and more. IDES support has been instrumental in our ministry’s growth and success!!
I have seen first hand the impact IDES has in disaster stricken areas both physical and spiritual. I have been a board member over twenty five years and love being involved with the work they do all around the world helping with disasters, disciplining and development projects to help the hurting.

I have served IDES as a member of the board for a little over twenty years, the early years with the founder, Milton Bates, a man with a heart for the hurting. During my time with IDES I have seen God bless it with wonderful growth as an organization and the number of victims of disasters and hurting people that IDES has helped both physically and spiritually through the efforts of the staff, churches, missionaries, volunteers, and faithful donors. It is a personal blessing to be a part of this great work for the Lord.

IDES is a selfless organization who serve others with heart and hands. When a disaster strikes, they immediately start looking for how they can help. They never work alone; their desire is to find local partners and not hand out but help the community by helping them help themselves. I have traveled to many spots in the world, been at conferences with people from around the country and when something is said about IDES, many have been touched by their funding and help during disasters and medical emergencies. I think the world of IDES!
IDES has always come to the rescue! Once the war in Ukraine started, they have blessed our ministry with several grants allowing us to feed displaced people, provide shelter and most recently, fresh water. Two fresh water wells have been drilled and provided life saving potable water to thousands of Ukrainians living in the destroyed by war southern regions. We praise God for IDES!
IDES has been part of our mission work in Myanmar for several years now. Not only the staff at IDES office are wonderful and very helpful, they have been helping us to reach people in Myanmar especial to the chin tribe, and barman tribe.
Myanmar has a long standing civil war for awhile and every day there are needs. Since partnering with IDES, we were able to delivered disaster relief to thousands of people. Thank you IDES for not only feeding those who are hunger, but also giving hope to the people in Myanmar. May God continue to guide you and use you all in advancing His kingdom. Amen.
Since the beginning of my involvement ten years ago, with Asian Children's Mission, I stand amazed at the heart of Jesus seen in this nonprofit, IDES. We work in the country of Myanmar, far and little heard of, and IDES has been there to partner with us in so many emergencies that were far beyond our abilities to help make a difference . With their focus on the gospel and their hearts for peoples in great need their process and followthrough is both professional and loving. We consider it a high privilege to work along side them and hope to partner for many years to come.
I am writing to express my heartfelt gratitude and admiration for the incredible work carried out by IDES. In Kenya, in the face of adversity, you emerged as a beacon of hope for thousands of households grappling with the devastating effects of drought-induced hunger. I have never personally met the individuals behind IDES, yet their actions speak volumes about their compassion, integrity, and genuine desire to make a difference. They exemplify the true spirit of altruism, working tirelessly to alleviate suffering without seeking recognition or fame. The impact of IDES's intervention is nothing short of remarkable. Over 5,000 households regained hope, over 3,000,000 meals were served, and over 800 livestock were distributed, providing tangible relief and sustenance to those in need. These numbers are not just statistics; they represent lives touched, families supported, and uplifted.
Thank you, IDES, for your unwavering compassion and unwavering commitment to making the world a better place. Your selfless actions inspire us all to lend a helping hand and spread kindness wherever we can.
I had the opportunity to work with IDES following a hurricane that went through our area in north Florida. As a new preacher to our area, I was contacted by IDES to see if I could help coordinate their efforts to share the love of Christ to people in our community. I worked with Rich, Paul, and Mason over the course of several weeks and enjoyed working with each one. I was familiar with the work of IDES but had never really experienced seeing them in action. IDES is an organization that takes the mission to share the love of Christ with those that are hurting following a disaster very seriously. With the help of IDES, our church was able to help many people in our community and the surrounding area with storm clean up. Many of these would have been working for months and spending a lot of money to get this done. Thanks to IDES and their volunteers the love of Christ was shown, prayers were offered, and people were met at the point of their need.
My confidence in the work that IDES does has always been solid but after working with them I see more clearly the passion they have for serving others. I know that the financial support that they receive is used with integrity and respect. IDES representatives are professional, and they show their appreciation to the volunteers that give their time and talent to the work to be done. This organization shows a light to the world in the aftermath of disaster. May God continue to bless the work of their hands for His glory.
When an F-3 tornado devastated our community, we weren't sure how to help with recovery. We contacted IDES, and they came to our aid, empowering us to lean into the recovery effort. They were a great resource and partner! Through IDES we were able to place ten brand new sheds on homeowners' properties that had been impacted by the storms. These sheds served as an on-site dry storage shed for folks who were sorting through personal belongings from their affected properties. The impact the sheds made for affected homeowners was immense. As a community partner, IDES was easy to work with, thorough, and helpful in so many ways. They coached us and were our partners from start to finish. Their partnership enabled our local church to serve a hurting and recovering community. Thank you IDES!
My husband and I founded a non-profit, Jérémie Christian Mission, that seeks to share the love and hope of Jesus to families in and around Jeremie, Haiti. A few years ago our community in Haiti experienced a devastating earthquake that left many of the families we serve homeless. IDES called us and asked if our organization could use assistance in serving the hurting people rebuild in Jesus' name. It has been such a blessing to work alongside them these past few years rebuilding over 40 block homes for families and providing thousands of pounds of relief supplies to earthquake and flood victims. Their staff are so encouraging, supportive and responsible. A few of the things I was most impressed with was their level of accountability and also that they put God first in everything! When we shared the first pictures of home rebuilds in a meeting to their entire staff they asked that we start the meeting with a devotion. I love that! IDES is an organization and partnership that we treasure. If you are considering a donation or contribution, know you can trust that IDES will use it to help those in need all around the world in Jesus's name!
Until the whole world hears,
Sarah Charles
Director - Jérémie Christian Mission
IDES has been such a blessing to our non-profit. Their aid has allowed us to feed a starving population which hopefully allows individuals to be receptive to hearing about the love of Jesus Christ. We could not have done this without them. They also recently put us in touch with, and helped us fund an awesome opportunity to educate the population we serve in innovative agricultural practices. These are proven practices that work in the environment we serve and when applied could help our community reduce their food insecurity. IDES approached us about this!!! They are an awesome group of individuals who have been wonderful to work with. THANK YOU IDES!!! Blessings...Joan Buckles, COPE Board
Asian Children's Mission is a small faith-based non-profit serving in Myanmar for 15 years. It is hard to express how grateful we are for our partnership with IDES over these years. Their amazingly quick response to natural disasters, that happen regularly in the country, the emergency food relief for the communities surrounding our various ministries, the involvement in sustainable projects assuring a better future, and the funds given for IDP camps to help build a new beginning, are all part of the partnership we have built with IDES. At the present time, we are involved in a grant from their Harvest of Talents program that is allowing our orphans, special needs students, and remote school children to have the needed protein to grow and develop.
As an organization they have strict rules for accountability, a biblical principle that we both share. Reports are due soon after money is spent and project is completed and our staff in country are fully aware of this and very good at sending the necessary information and pictures needed to complete reports.
It is a true blessing to work along side a faith based nonprofit that is truly called by God to help and love a hurting world.
I had the blessing of being an intern at IDES for two months over the summer. During this time, I really got to see the ins and outs of how IDES is run. What an honor it was to watch the staff, a group of committed followers of Christ, obey and serve Him and His people. Every action of IDES is covered with prayer. I was able to witness the way that the staff of IDES prioritized stewardship- there is not a penny in the whole nonprofit that is wasted as each decision is made prayerfully and with wise counsel. I praise the Lord that there are people who are committed to further His Kingdom like those at IDES.
I have been familiar with IDES for many years. I was in India working with "Mission Explosion International" (a Christian organization) in a village along the coast of the Bay of Bengal when one of the neighboring villages caught on fire. We drove over to see if we could assist and by the time we got there the fire was out but all the huts were still smoldering and many required medical attention. We were a medical team so we assisted those that we could. There were several that had to be transported to the hospital. The next morning we assessed the damage and determined that 300 families needed shelters rebuilt, sleeping mats, clothes, cooking pots, water pots, and food. We called IDES and within a week's time, IDES sent the aid for the village to rebuild.
Let me share about IDES.
It was through the late Delmar and Eileen Debault that I came to know IDES. I was a student at Cebu Bible Seminary in the Philippines at the time, and both Mr. and Mrs. Debault were missionaries. On my graduation day, they both stood on behalf of my parents.
At various points throughout our ministry, IDES joined us as a partner in the field. In 1984, my family and I relocated to Bohol to begin a pioneering project. Back then, IDES provided funding for a community-wide weekly feeding program for kids, while their parents and some other adults also met for a private Bible study. At this time, the first Church of Christ/Christian Church in Bohol was established. Food became a tool to reach out to people for Christ.
At one point, IDES assisted one of the church members for a surgery to remove a massive thyroid. It also assisted in the providing roof over families who didn’t have their own homes. In December 2021, Bohol province was hit by a strong typhoon. We became one of the recipients of IDES generosity that rebuild our school, the Icthus Christian Academy Inc.
May God bless us all as we continue to do good things for the glory of God’s Kingdom wherever we may go and share the Love of Jesus Christ.
As an implementing partner of IDES, MERCY PARTNERS has been able to expand the capacity of local churches in conflict zones to witness Christ in a very tangible way. IDES undergirded our famine relief at times where epidemic needs required immediate resources. Their vetting process for partnership is the basis for how we have modeled our own process due to the strong accountability and indicators required to make sure that we are giving a hand up and not a hand out. IDES has partnered with us on several projects. Wells, Motorbikes, Goats, Food relief - resulting in church growth and empowered leadership of the church and communities that our native leaders pour their life into. - Tom Kilian, Director of MERCY PARTNERS
New disasters every day! How to help? I know I can trust IDES to have quick and workable help. They have 50 years of experience going right into the situation and providing immediate and long term help. What makes it unique for me is that they do it "in Jesus Name". They give prompt receipts and do not mail appeals. You will get a monthly prayer calendar that highlights their projects. They have professional staff and utilize many volunteers. I love IDES!
This is what I love about the IDES Ministry. If you designate to a ceratin project, then 100% goes to that project! Also, the same with the gift catalog; 100% goes toward the gift! Most ministries do not do this because usually the other ministries require that a certain portion go toward overhead expenses. The best part of IDES is that they are sharing the love of Christ to those who are in desperate situations which helps to open up hearts to the Gospel.
I love the way ides does their ministry. They work with the people on the ground wherever the need is. Then if needed or if possible they send a team to help.
Also, when a disaster strikes and there is a need, if designate where that donation goes 100% of it goes to that cause. You can do this with every donation too.
I’ve worked on the ground with them after hurricane Katrina and it was an awe inspiring experience. A church was planted as a result of the work ides did in that area.
We still donate regularly to ides.

IDES has been an integral part of our evangelistic efforts with Hippo Valley Christian Mission in Zimbabwe. From providing meal packets for our revivals to special projects like the self-sustaining beta project with goat herds for our preachers, IDES has been sensitive and accomodating to our goals and needs, and even our challenges. Working in a third world country or with disaster relief necessitates a certain grace, flexibility and commitment. IDES provides an immeasurable asset, a true niche in bringing Christ's love to the world.
My daughter did a summer internship with IDES this past summer and enjoyed her time learning about the various aspects of the mission. I'm thankful for the opportunity she had to learn from their organization. She looks forward to partnering with them in the future.
We did a 260,000 meal pack with IDES and it was an incredible experience. Jody is an amazing blessing to work with and everyone loved having him lead it for us. We are thankful for their leadership and service all around the world. We will work with them at every opportunity.
We were honored to have IDES make the difficult trip to our rural Zimbabwe works, and cannot thank you adequately for the water project you re-built, re-designed, and repaired/ The 56 orphaned and abandoned children in our "Chiredzi Christin Village" now have a much greater opportunity to grow in a strong Christian environment.
Your food donation has touched thousands, over 700 baptisms this year alone. We are honored to partner with you in the Kingdom work in the coming years.

IDES has been a partner of Damou Christian Mission for many years. They have always been there in our deepest times of need to step up and help out to further the kingdom in any way possible. They have wonderful servants' hearts on fire to make a difference in the world. We are honored to call IDES our partner in serving and showing the love of Jesus Christ. They exceed expectations in all areas of serving their donors, mission partners, and the general public. We Love You IDES.
IDES was a wonderful company to work with. The people there were caring, helpful, and incredibly passionate about the work that the organization is doing.
Amazing ministry that helped our orphanage secure clean drinking water and intervened by purchasing cattle and goats and rice packs to assist our food security for our kids. Amazing team. Thank you so much.
Hello, my name is Jonathon Crismon, and I was an intern with IDES from June-July during the summer of 2022. My time spent with IDES was nothing but exceptional. Every staff member has a heart for the work they are doing and strives to complete all their work with the love of Christ.
During my internship, I spent most of my time working with the GAP program and the Disaster Relief department. I had the opportunity to help run the food packing events and the joy that these events brought the staff and volunteer at these food packs. I also got to be deployed with the Disaster Relief team on two different occasions and see the blessing that IDES can be to those affected by a storm. Whether a homeowner has a shed built for them from a tornado a couple of months ago to find people who need help cleaning up from a tornado that hit their home just a couple of days prior, IDES was there with a helping hand. I highly recommend working or partnering with IDES if you have a chance. All the staff at IDES are good, hard-working people trying to spread the love of Jesus Christ to those affected by a disaster.
I.D.E.S. has a very special place in my heart. I'm awed and inspired by the story of its founders, Milton and Janet Bates -- 2 regular people like me who decided to do something about the suffering they saw, and now many thousands of people have received help and love in very difficult circumstances. As a donor, I appreciate that IDES helps people in the United States, as well as around the world. I receive the prayer calendar every month, and I love to see all the projects and ways people are being helped around the world. It's very important to me that everyone have food, water and a safe place to sleep. I can help make that happen, through IDES. I am very confident that IDES chooses the projects carefully/prayerfully, and that the staff at IDES care about each other and the people they serve very much. Also, I was able to help at a GAP food pack -- it was fun to be part of a team for such a good cause; I highly recommend participation.

IDES has been one of our missions for a long time. They help send help to areas around the world in times of disaster. We appreciate that we can count on 100% of designated donations to go directly to the area, managed and distributed through the churches in that area.
I am writing to ask you to please give your support to I.D.E.S. Throughout the last few years I have had the pleasure of witnessing their work firsthand. From packing food, to overseas delivery, to late night conversations, to powerful moments in prayer, I can tell you that they deeply care for the people they serve.
I.D.E.S. needs three things from you: prayer, money, time. Please pray for the team as they do the Lord's work around the world. Please support them financially so they can do more than dream big; they can serve big. Finally, please visit their headquarters and spend the day packing food with them. Listen to their stories and the testimonies of those who benefit directly from their work.
I.D.E.S. is worth investing in because they are working hard to care for God's greatest creation: people.
They work around the world to help people in their time of most need with love, healing, and the message of The gospel I am privileged to have worked along side IDES in Haiti and would love to again.
I’ve been able to work with IDES on several occasions by participating in meal packing events. I’ve lead youth group trips to the IDES facility to pack meals, was involved with a pack at our church camp, and also join in packs held at different churches. One summer our church camp partnered with IDES and took a mission trip to Haiti where we were able to see first hand how these meals are used to bless many families. I also love that they not only provide much needed food they also share the love and good news of Jesus.
IDES is a terrific resource providing both help for individuals, groups and organizations experiencing trauma due to disasters and opportunities for churches and individuals to provide a meaningful helping-hand to sisters and brothers in Christ who need to know that they are not alone. Churches and individuals can be confident that their support of IDES is making a kingdom difference.
Our family has been associated with IDES for many years. We have been on mission trips with them and personally know their work through extreme disaster situations. This is one mission I know spends and sends 100% of designated gifts to where they are designated. They have a servant's heart.
IDES has been a wonderful group to support over the years. We always know 100% of our gift is going to be used towards the mission we name. They make it a family by calling us personally and thanking us for the gift. Their website is so easy to hop on and give!!!
Hi my name is Matthew I was in a flood from hurricane ida and my whole apartment got flooded I mean all my stuff gotten flooded most of my stuff got damaged my number is 818-515-8968 how can I get help
I first became acquainted with IDES a few years ago and have just been continually impressed with every interaction I've had with them. My youth group loves serving at their facility in Noblesville and we've done several meal packs at different locations as well. I also worked for a mission partner of theirs and helped with the grant process which helped our ministry in Zimbabwe. They're one of the best!
I am not physically able to work. BUT, I like IDES because I pray over the daily calendar from IDES. Also, I keep an atlas by my chair so I can look up the countries and the USA cities. I serve GOD with money, prayers, evangelism, and practical life needs. IDES meets my ministry goals. from Pauline
I've been blessed to serve at IDES this summer as an intern. I didn't know much about IDES before coming but I quickly saw how they genuinely care about the mission and care for all of the people who help out in the process. I have never seen a nonprofit so devoted to the power of prayer. The staff has been beyond encouraging in helping me learn and gain new experiences while I am here this summer. I am so willing to give my time and money to IDES because I know that it will be used to help those hurting and in need.
IDES is a ministry that I have been acquainted with my entire life. I have been blessed to be able to play a role in the ministry here in the United States and internationally.
Growing up, I attended the Harvest of Talents, a program put on by churches utilizing any talents the congregation had to create things to sell in order to raise funds for world hunger. In 2018, I was able to see the fruit of IDES work on a mission trip to Haiti. IN 2020 and now in 2021, I have been able to serve as an intern for IDES. Through these internships, I have been able to see the interworkings behind IDES.
The truth is that this organization is dedicated to further the kingdom. The entire board and staff are constantly pursuing a deeper connection with Christ in order to be able to pour the Lord's love and compassion on anyone they meet. There is an integrity that has been built into the foundation of IDES and allows the ministry to serve in such a vast manner.
I don't think I could ever finish stop sharing about the ministry of IDES.
I have been serving along side with IDES for almost 20 years as an coordinator in SE Asia. I have seen suffering people received aid, hunger people are fed, patience received medical kits, the burning houses were repaired, poor people received blankets and jackets, the gospel was shared among nonbelievers, bible is given and local evangelists were trained to serve their own people. Many precious souls turned to Christ. I personally met the directors of IDES and some other staff leaders. Their humble minds and loving hearts inspired me in such unique ways. I always thankful to God for IDES!
IDES has partnered with us for almost 20 years. Their professionalism and commitment to showing and sharing the love of Jesus through local partners has opened many doors for ministries like ours. We appreciate the partnership and friendship of IDES and those that donate to make their ministry possible. Thanks to Rick, Randy, Jody and the whole IDES team for the impact you have on the lives of those on the margins!
I have been blessed to be associated with IDES for more than 30 years but especially as a missionary to war torn-Kosovo for twenty years. During that time I had personal experience with several nonprofits operating in Kosovo, many of them Christian organizations. Sadly I was VERY disappointed, even disillusioned by too several of them due to their often wasteful spending on large salaries, benefits, big vehicles! By comparison I cannot imagine a more efficiently run organization than IDES! They provided numerous emergency funds in response to many different critical needs over the years. They respond yes or no very quickly and they make sure they give directly where it is needed most and only through missionaries or workers on the ground they trust. If all nonprofits operated like IDES so much more good could be done in this world!
IDES is a fantastic organization and ministry!!! I have known about IDES for many years, but I had never worked directly with them. I just spent two full days there helping pack 260,000 meals to send to Haiti. The packing system was well-organized and was even arranged in a way to adhere as much as possible to provide safety from COVID exposure and still complete the mission of providing food for Haiti. Every single staff member I encountered during those two days was phenomenal in guiding us through the GAP (God Always Provides) Food Pack. They are all very kind and compassionate and definitely have a passion for the service and ministry they provide to hurting communities. Jody (GAP Director) was so kind and had limitless energy for two days to achieve the goal of the meals. It is obvious this organization deeply loves Jesus and wants nothing more than to glorify and honor God by being used by Him to care for His children in their darkest day. I am looking forward to the next time I can serve with this ministry!!
IDES has been part of our church's missions giving for over 25 years! They are truly front line workers and first responders! Whether it's a famine or a natural disaster, they are immediately in contact with local churches or missionaries to see where the needs are and how they can meet them. They are quick with disaster response measures when needed, and yet use great knowledge and experience to plan and prepare for events ahead of time by having supplies and materials ready and available. They are also very welcoming to letting others aid them as volunteers to go to damaged areas, prepare meal packs, etc. IDES is also very family-friendly. They have programs for children's VBS programs and allow for volunteers of most any age group to contribute their time and talents. Giving to IDES is also varied and creative, by designating funds to specific events or the purchasing of items to benefit those directly affected by disaster, storm, famine, or even for community development and evangelism. Praise the Lord for IDES and their commitment to give help and hope to a hurting world!
Hurricane Irma caused havoc to our church building. IDES stepped up to help immediately. The picture below is our completed project. IDES was such a blessing. Rick and Nancy Jett as well as the entire IDES team were so cooperative. We now support IDES monthly and look forward to increasing that amount yearly. I cannot say enough good things about IDES. They are a major blessing to New Hope.
IDES is a wonderful organization, run by folks who truly care about helping others. Their meal-packing operation is fun, efficient, and run in a VERY safe manner!
I have lead multiple volunteer works teams in the US and internationally to help IDES with their disaster relief efforts. They do an amazing job partnering with a local church in the disaster area and giving the church the support and encouragement to make a long term impact on their community. IDES understands it is more than coming in and providing some clean up or build a few sheds or replace a few roofs. The victims of the disaster need more than just a repaired roof. They need someone like the local church to give them hope for the future. This is why I look forward to every opportunity to serve with IDES.
I was recently involved in a food packing event at IDES. Packing dry food stuff for targeted missions. The event was well organized and executed. I know IDES to be one non-profit to whom you can donate and know that funds go directly to urgent causes PLUS their mission is to bring the soul saving good news of Jesus to those who don't know Him.
I have known of IDES and been a fan of their work for many years. Over the past couple of years I have had the opportunity to volunteer with them in a variety of ways and on numerous disaster relief projects. They really do take help and hope to people in the midst of their need. As a volunteer, I feel they communicate well regarding their mission, their expectations, and the nature of the work needing done. Their model of partnering with local churches in a disaster area helps them to not only identify real needs, but it creates a local connection that those receiving help can turn to even after IDES has completed their work. I think so highly of the work IDES is doing that I joined them in storm damage cleanup in Iowa, then a few weeks later helped with relief efforts following Hurricane Laura, then joined them for another week following Hurricane Delta. I could go on, but my best recommendation would be for you to volunteer with them as soon as you can and if you can't, then financially support their work in the best way you can!
The people who run this organization are the real deal who operate with compassion and understanding. They are quick to help in domestic and international arenas.
I have a long history with IDES. My father helped Myron Bates financially set up the organization and file for 501c3 status. I witnessed first hand the excellent work done thru the local churches to victims of tornados, hurricanes, floods, famine, and various disasters, natural and man made in the US and around the world. After Mr. Bates retired, his son-in-law and daughter, Rick and Nancy Jett, took the helm and expand the benevolent ministry in dynamic ways. The genius of this ministry is its dedication to raise their own ministry operating funds so that every donated dollar given for the disaster by donors will 100% be used to meet the needs, efficiently and effectively. They partner with local churches to handle distribution in their locality. “ Boots on the ground” know how to best how to put the funds into the correct hands. It works. I am proud to recommend this ministry.
I have relied on IDES for more than 25 years to alert me to needs victims of disaster have around the world. Then they are there to give the resources I am able to share to help people. Their ethical and efficient way of handling money makes them my first responder partner.
IDES is a non-profit that has maintained a laser focus on their mission and does so with utmost integrity. Their ministry directly leads to the unity of the universal church.
Whenever there is a natural disaster, they are immediately there to offer help and hope. I believe that their strongest asset is that they look at things holistically and embody the whole gospel by addressing physical and spiritual needs.
I always know that whenever I give my money it will go directly towards those in need. If you are looking for a way to offer help and hope to the brokenness of the world, I highly recommend connecting with this organization.
I have worked with IDES for several years in its Harvest of Talents program through my local church. The integrity, commitment, and support provided by the staff have demonstrated that this organization truly serves others in Jesus' name.
I am associated with another ministry called Asia Christian Services. I am the liaison from ACS to IDES regarding grant requests for churches in Southeast Asia. The timeliness of the response and the generosity of their grants is exemplary. Those who receive the grants live a third-world existence, and have been especially hard-hit by the pandemic. They actually may be sitting in their villages suffering from slow starvation. IDES has been overwhelmingly generous in granting funds to provide relief, and in this way saving numerous lives and being a faithful witness for Christ. My impression of the ministry is entirely positive. The result of the contributions they make to those in need is overwhelmingly significant.
IDES is a caring organization. They have big hearts for all. They are in tune with emergencies around the world. Our church raises money through our Harvest Of Talents bazaar. All sales and donations go toward IDES projects. No funds are used for day to day expenses. Much of the labor is volunteer, whether building sheds for tornado or hurricane victims, filling rice packets to feed hungry, or sending crews to clean up devastated areas.
I have been familiar with IDES since their early days in the 1970s. I attended Bible college with the son of an IDES "missionary" so it felt like I had a connection back then. I have continued to follow their work and have seen their wise stewardship of their resources. I am impressed with how they get the job done - organized and efficient and compassionate. I have supported them financially and, as a member of my church's missions committee, I continue to advocate for a portion of our missions budget to go to IDES. God bless IDES as they continue to be the hands and feet of Jesus!
We have worked with IDES for many years in the US and internationally and trust the focus for their service to the needs of people. We like how they will go into an area and work with a local group to care for all people in the affected area. Our experience is that IDES will be very focused on using the funds we give to directly meet the needs of the community in need. We will continue to serve alongside them.
Dailey Chapel Christian Church donates to IDES due to its good works and transparency. IDES' projects are prayerfully chosen. IDES uses established churches in the affected areas to more efficiently provide specific help for specific needs. Monthly prayer calendars are shared so the congregation can also pray over the decision making and projects. Yearly budget and project reports are also shared with the congregation. IDES sends food, supplies, and people for immediate needs, as well as helping communities sustain their own health and meet their needs by supplying wells, seeds, plants, animals, sewing machines, etc. Helping IDES is a great way to help spread God's word and Jesus' love throughout the entire world!
Helping IDES with packing food for the many families and people that are without because of too many real issues makes me realize that I can get involved instead of staying on the sidelines reading about the latest disaster. When we received an email and a picture of the people in Haiti with the food that we packed brought tears to my eyes.
Going to the headquarters in Indiana to build sheds was hard work but good work when done with friends. Writing scripture on the framing was special.
The IDES folks are friendly, knowledgeable and love what they do for Gods glory. I look forward to helping IDES and the Lord.
While we can’t physically help those in an emergency situation, like hurricanes, droughts and tornados, we know that when we give our money to IDES, the money goes to help people in need, all over the world!
This organization is phenomenal, and we appreciate how they taught our children during Vacation Bible School about how they care for people in crisis. We were blessed to help them and we appreciate what they do!
I coordinate a group of 8 guys that volunteer in the IDES shop one day a week. We mostly use saws and nailers to prepare their shed kits. We cut lumber, build doors, make roof rafters, load trucks, etc. At times we help prep pallets of meals to be shipped.
Some of us have also traveled to TX, Fl, IL, and IN to assist with disaster recovery.
IDES is a worthy organization. They do amazing things. I have no reservations about recommending IDES to anyone interested in helping those in need.
I have been working with "Mission Explosion International" (a missionary working in India and Mexico) for 23 years.
One time, while we were doing a medical camp in one of the coastal villages along the Bay of Bengal, a member of one of our Church families, ran over to inform us that the next village was on fire. We left to go over to see if we could help. The fire had been put out but the village was still smoldering and several people came up to us that had been burned. We treated as many as we could and reassured them that we would do everything we could to help those who had lost everything they had. There were 300 families in the village. The next day our director contacted International Disaster Emergency Services (IDES) and they sent enough money to supply each family with water pots, clothes, sleeping mats, and food. We were also able to help the villagers rebuild their huts.
IDES has also helped with one of the missions that we support in Zimbabwe, Africa by providing food for those who have been affected by droughts.
There are so many missions and people that have been aided through the years by IDES. I could go on and on about all the disasters that I know of that IDES has helped. I was also in Lousiana to help with Hurricane Katrina when IDES helped build houses.
Of all the nonprofit organizations that help during disasters, IDES is one of the best in the world.
I know these people personally and can vouch that their mission is not only to help people during disasters but to help bring the good news of the saving grace of Christ through their ministry.
Our church has been involved with and financially supporting IDES for longer than I've been serving as the Senior Pastor - and that's over 15 years. Our Missions Ministry continues to be impressed and impacted by the great works that they do both stateside and abroad. Glory is always given to God and the name of Jesus is upheld as they provide relief for victims of natural disasters as well as assist those who suffer from extreme poverty.
We have every confidence in the stewardship of IDES in the distribution of he funds we provide. We also appreciate the way that they partner with the Lord's Church and work whenever possible through local churches in disaster areas. I highly commend - and recommend IDES for their service in God's kingdom.
I have been familiar with IDES for many years. I have found them to be a completely reliable and capable resource in times of trouble--whether the trouble is a sudden-onset disaster, such as a tornado or hurricane, or an ongoing problem such as hunger in undeveloped countries. I have been a supporter for many years because I believe in the work they do. I especially like the way they work through local people in times of disaster so that when the disaster-response team leaves, there is still someone to follow up with people who were affected by the event. I have also been privileged to be on site in Colombia where IDES provided assistance in the drilling of a well for fresh drinking water. What a blessing to the people in that community! I love the work of IDES and am a regular contributor.
Bloomsburg Christian Church has had an ongoing relationship with IDES for many years. I am glad that we can continue partnering with them as they do an amazing work. They are always responsive and willing to help. Thank you IDES for all that you do and for blessing people all over the world. We look forward to partnering with you for years to come.
I work closely with IDES as they are one of our Missions partners at Central Christian Church in Valparaiso, In. I have nothing but the highest praise for IDES and the work that they do in times of disasters and devastation in the Unites States and all over the world. Also they are very active in teaching and working with churches and other organizations on how to deal with situations such as active shooters, etc.

I have worked with IDES through my church as i am in charge of Missions. It is one of the most outstanding nonprofit organizations our church and myself have worked with. Their staff is superior and wonderful to work hand in hand with. We have supported IDES as one of our missions for way over 4 years.
They come up annually from Noblesville during Mission Month and our congregation enjoys their speakers, etc. so much.

Christ's Church Mandarin has had a ongoing relationship with IDES for over 30 years. The leadership of the organization has been exceptional and all the staff are very responsive and helpful. This organization is a source of hope to those who have experienced unexpected loss in areas devastated by natural disasters. They are a God-centered ministry and have been the hands and feet of Jesus, sharing his love through acts of service. It has been an honor to partner with them and we look forward to a long on-going partnership into the future.
The relationship between the Milford Christian Church and IDES has reached 28 years through our annual Harvest of Talents day. They have always cooperated with us fully by sending either the executive director to spend the weekend or if he is unavailable, the outreach director. These have enthusiastically participated in our ministry and have become part of the Milford Christian Church family. We are thrilled to be partners with them in their ministry and look forward to many more years together!
We could never hope for a more responsive and helpful partner than we have in IDES as we together have served in numerous natural disasters in Indonesia. When I am blessed to give for relief efforts, I give to IDES with full confidence.
We have monitored and supported IDES for over 35 years. Not once in that time have we found anything suspicious or objectionable in how they carry out their mission. They keep their operations costs very low. They are wise in deciding who'll receive assistance, as well as when and how. They partner with local sources to bring help quickly and in a way that is most helpful. When we read of world problems and begin to feel overwhelmed and helpless, we remember that because of our support of the work of IDES, they are responding on our behalf, but even more important, in the name of Jesus.
I really appreciate having a trusted organization like IDES that can responsibly vet and distribute much needed funds to worthy endeavors in a manner that demonstrates the love of Christ to people in need of a helping hand.
As a wife of on IDES staff member, I know that they take their work seriously and make sure that they are keeping up disasters world-wide. They care about and love the work that they are doing for the less fortunate all over the world.
As the wife of a staff member, I know that IDES takes their work very seriously and are always making sure that they are always on top of whatever happens.
As the newest IDES staff member, I can attest that IDES is committed to its mission of serving the Lord and helping those in need.
As an employee, I have been warmly welcomed aboard by not only the staff but the community of believers that supports this organization. I am proud to be a part of such an honest non-profit that is working to address global issues in the areas of evangelism, disaster response, hunger relief, community development, and medical needs.
IDES is led by a group of well-rounded, faith guided people who will work their hardest to optimize the effects of your gifts, your time, and your prayers.
From the inside, I can confirm that IDES does exactly what it says it does – it puts 100% of its designated funds towards the cause of the donor’s choice. IDES works to be as transparent about internal operations as possible and I encourage anyone with questions to reach out.
We love I.D.E.S. because 1) great stewardship--100% of designated giving goes directly to the designated need; 2) great witness--all help is channeled through a church or evangelist so it is given in Jesus' Name and no supplies are abandoned on docks or pilfered by governments; 3) Christ-like help--I.D.E.S. helps meet the practical needs of people along with the spiritual needs; 4) non-denominational.
We have worked with I.D.E.S. after tornadoes, hurricanes, and floods and we have worked at the center in Noblesville and have always found them helpful, hopeful, and caring. Through them we have been able to give chickens and goats and water treatment kits to people around the world. We have built storage sheds for people who had no place to put tools or treasures salvaged from their homes. We have provided meals to starving children, medical help to the sick, shelter to the homeless. And in every case, through I.D.E.S., we have been able to share hope and the love of God.
We are very thankful for IDES and appreciate all the team and board who are serving and helping thousands families in worse time of Pakistan .

IDES is doing awesome work for humanity .I am thankful from the core of my heart “International Disaster Emergency Service , Inc ” for coming forward and
helping our people in the face of the worse time.
God bless IDES and all his team .
As a client served, I have the utmost appreciation for the help that our organization has received from IDES in such places as Vietnam, Myanmar and Belarus. We have received help for many projects for clean water, medical equipment and medicines. I have been told by our contacts in the field, that hundreds of lives have been saved by the medicines received and quality of life for many has been improved with clean water.
IDES is an incredible partner in ministry. They have blessed so many lives on fields where CMF serves. When a disaster strikes or an emergency arises, it would take CMF time to raise funds to meet that need. Because IDES focuses on these very needs, we turn to IDES and are able to provide timely assistance while the need is still acute. I encourage others to support IDES and then when CMF ministries have needs, resources are available to demonstrate the love of Christ in critical times. We at CMF are extremely grateful for this wonderful partner in mission.
I've partnered with IDES on funding for a few different projects. My contacts there are always very responsive and truly work to complete the project successfully. We have been blessed by them!
With the help of IDES I have personally been able to equip teams to respond six times to areas after natural disasters. We have installed over 20 wheelchair ramps in our local area, and help to improve over 30 homes which needed structural intervention.
IDES has helped us provide food and water systems in Haiti through their wonderful gift giving portal. They support countries that have been devastated by disaster by helping to send ship-loads of food, and building supplies.
Their non-profit accountability is the highest I have ever witnessed.
I work in Myanmar. Although this nation has made considerable progress, there are still areas of civil war, as well as unpredictable natural disasters. IDES has been so generous in meeting the needs with both compassion and professionalism.
I have been a volunteer at the home office of IDES for a little over a year. They are an organization that does amazing work here in the United States and in many other countries. The staff is dedicated to being good stewards of the funds donated and ensuring the money is being used in a responsible way. I'm excited to be part of an organization that reaches out and makes a difference in peoples' lives!
IDES is always ready preparing for the next disaster. When disaster strikes they are the one of the first to respond. They always coordinate with local churches to get the help where needed. This saves them time to access where the help is needed most. The monies donated are used to the fullest. Volunteers are the key to their success with the donations by you.

I am the Missions Chair for my church. We set aside 25% of our general fund for mission support currently sending monthly checks to 22 different entities. We vet each mission and only support those with excellent stewardship of the funds they receive and have low administrative expense. IDES is an organization that provides services that any denomination or individual could back regardless of faith or belief. Although they are basically an independant Christian mission they do not discriminate against anyone regardless of their station in life. When disasters strike whether it be earthquake, hurricane, tsunami, tornado etc IDES is there many times before the bureaucratic organizations. If I had to pick just one disaster response team to support it would definitely be IDES.
I know some of the principals in the organization, and feel that they are trustworthy, and committed to good stewardship, and dedicated to advance the goals of the organization. Further, I have dealt with them on the "receiving end", and know that they are careful who they partner with.
We donate to IDES when there are natural disasters and when there is not. We want them to have money ready to help people around the world with unexpected disasters. And we give extra when we know a crisis has happened. IDES is great because they ask the local Christians where the money can be best used. Local people can direct help faster than large government organizations. Our family really likes to "buy" donations at Christmas time. Each child sets aside his/her own money, and then they "shop" on IDES website to give needed supplies to people all over the world. You can donate food, clean water, medicine, Bibles, livestock, seeds, or equipment to help someone start a self-sustaining business (sewing machine).
IDES provided our ministry with funding at a critical time when Eastern Ukraine experienced humanitarian crisis during the time of military conflict. The grants we received through the Harvest of Talents and IDP assistance saved many lives as we were able to buy food, medicine and basic necessities for hundreds of internally displaced people and at-risk families.
A few years ago my son and I participated in an IDES food packing event at our church. It was a rewarding experience for both of us knowing that we were preparing packages of food that would feed hungry people on the other side of the world!
I have been familiar with IDES for many years as a member of churches that support IDES. They are highly respected for their compassionate response to people going through disasters and for their diligence and fiscal responsibility in managing the donations they receive. As a donor, my husband and I know that the money we have given will be well used to help people in need. As a volunteer, I have seen firsthand the excellent management, accountability, and confidentiality of the donations that IDES receives. The work that the IDES staff does is done with excellence, and I am grateful for an organization such as this that is making such a significant contribution to those in need. I would highly recommend IDES as a way to help people in need.
IDES has been helping us meet the needs of the affected in Narok, Kenya during drought as emergency relief and helping in Development projects for long term sustainability. The farming project that IDES helped us start in 2014 has continued upto now to help the feeding program of the schools we oversee.
In 2008-2009, IDES helped us respond to the needs of those affected after the post election violence that had seen a number of people dead and several displaced. IDES came in to help us rebuilt the houses for the affected families in providing iron sheets, provided cooking oil, beans and flour for feeding and also since the crops were destroyed IDES helped with planting seeds for the farmers to start their lives again. This helped to shape the people's lives upto today.
In 2009, when faced with drought in Narok, Kenya, we approached IDES for help. We fed thousands from the help of IDES grant. The same year, we distributed a number of goats to help the people who had lost their animals because of extended drought season that had seen a number of families loss their loved ones and their domestic animals. we started a water project in buying tanks and pump from IDES grant and has seen the project to grow to date. Right now we are so happy that the project has grown to help a Maasai community that didn't have water. This has cut a number of diseases and reduced the burden of women and girl child to walk several kms to fetch water. The list goes on..
While we distribute and be involved in these projects, a number of fellowships, Bible studies and trainings happened. The projects turned to be a great outreach in reaching out to many people who now understand the saving grace of our Lord Jesus. We always thank IDES and their donors for the good work they do in providing emergency and sustainable development projects. Our prayers are for them to continue to advance the works of kindness.
We have dealt with I.D.E.S for many years. It is top notch. We always know they are responsible and compassionate and accountable. No better place through which to channel funds and time.
We have volunteered, seen results on receiving end, and donate with confidence.

International Disaster Emergency Service is a great partner always and engaged to help the disaster victims .i can vigilantly say that IDES has been our compassionate and dependable Charity work in India and Nepal from the last fifteen years since now. Food for hunger in the rural villages and helping the leprosy peoples are adorable works. IDES supports life changing ministry by providing live stocks like cow ,water buffalo , Goats for widows who are been persecuted in name of Religion and caste ,
These peoples life has been amazingly changed and their life been blessings to their society.
For Instance this is how IDES has changed many suffering lives into fruitful life.we praise God for this wonderful testimony from the sister Revathy.
I am Revethy,a Sunday school teacher and taught bible songs and stories for many kids. These kids from other belief background in-turn talk to their own family members relatives and friends about Jesus, which made them to be very angry on me.They started to persecute me and finally they came with a fuel and burnt me.. Arise shine helped me to get emergency medical help ,after coming from the hospital all the kids were scared about my appearance. They said i am a ugly and frightened to come to me and i was jobless and hopeless .
Everyone persecuted me but Jesus never fails.According to my trust God sent IDES brothers they prayed for me and made me self dependent, by providing goats .I praise God because now i am able to earn 40$ a month and this helps me to meet my everyday life. All thanks and praise goes to God the almighty for giving such an compassionate organisation IDES.
The above said testimony is really heart breaking and not only in that but even during the time of disaster we experienced in Tsunami 2004 during the Christmas time , many thousands of people drowned and their homes were driven away by the tsunami .As a result of this disaster many 1000 s of families became homeless and many kids became orphan ,IDES supported enormous funding to heal their life in physical and spiritual way by giving food in their need and life support for a month for them to settle their life in different places with clothing ,blankets and cooking vessels and kerosene stoves , These peoples life was blessed .
Whenever we work with IDES we Always remember the scripture from Matthew 25 :35-36 coming true for I was hungry and you gave Me food; I was thirsty and you gave Me drink; I was a stranger and you took Me in; I was naked and you clothed Me; I was sick and you visited Me;I was in prison and you came to Me.’
I like to conclude by witnessing for International Disaster Emergency service .There support goes to the people directly without cast ,Race ,and Religion . we are so thankful for helping the hurting world.
IDES have been a great source for us in terms of humanitarian activities in Myanmar. IDES partners with us to treat diseases, to strive against the poverty and helping refugees or victims. The first time I received IDES' grant was 2008 i.e. a grant for medical kits to the pastor in Myanmar by our late missionary LaVern Morse! That was the first grant in my life, I just could not believe myself for granting to a small Christian worker. I believe that IDES equips indigenous Christian Workers to be more effective in their calling and to those who has less opportunity to access funds. From that time on, IDES became our great source and companion to the journey we trade. We already addressed to many issues that existed here in this land. IDES is an excellent organization for the hurting world.
IDES is one of the premier non-profits working in the area of disaster relief and humanitarian aid. We have personally worked with them on a number of projects over the past ten years, and they have continually demonstrated the highest ethical standards.
When you give to IDES you can be assured that your funds are being used wisely and generously throughout the world.
I have always loved IDES because they help in disasters and emergencies in Jesus name using the local Christians and missionaries to administer the aid. I have been even more impressed over the past two weeks as we have worked with soliciting a grant to help Puerto Rico Christian School and our missionary there. They have worked speedily to respond to the need, their response has been thorough and professional and we are excited to be working with them. As a result of their aid the school will have a commercial generator and be able to function despite the lack of central electricity and water and people who lost everything including their houses who are linked with the school will have at least one possession. The hungry will be fed and the needy helped. What a superb organization.
I.D.E.S. is a small organization with huge impact. In a given disaster, they work with people already on the scene, often local churches in the U.S. or missionary organization in other countries. They do have a few on staff who may go to the affected area to set things up.
Years ago, we visited their offices in Kempton, IN, a very small town. I.D.E.S. was operating out of an old building and was very overcrowded. Rather than put money into their comfort, they operate on a barebones budget. Only money given for operations or basically undesignated go for their expenses. If you designate funds for a disaster, 100% goes to that help.
When they partner with an entity, they demand full accountability. If the partner does not measure up, they will not be a partner again.
Now they have a nice facility in Noblesville, IN where they can do so much more. Here, they can build prefabricated storage sheds, a real blessing in the North American disasters.
After the tsunami that hit Aceh, Indonesia, they partnered with other organizations to sent a team of people who knew the language and culture. At first, they made blocks for homes. The quality was better than those made by the big organizations. When this strongly Muslim people asked groups to withdraw, they asked the I.D.E.S. group to stay. Even a Muslim leader and family became friends with the I.D.E.S. team, knowing that team were Christians. After homes were rebuilt, the team turned to helping the area redevelop an economy.
Over time, I have gotten to know the family that started it all and their love for all people. Their hearts are in the right place and I have utter confidence in this organization.

As a donor, I have personally visited the offices and met most of the staff. I also have met many of the founder's family, some of whom continue in the operations. I have had contact with those who have used I.D.E.S. funds in various disaster situations since at least 1998's Hurricane Mitch relief, probably before that as well.
International Disaster Emergency Services (I.D.E.S.) is a lean and efficient organization. There offices are spartan and the staff serves far more because of the compassion in their hearts than any monetary compensation. All overhead is paid from donations not designated for a particular need. If you donat funds for a specific disaster or emergency, 100% of the funds to toward that need.
I.D.E.S. tries to work through organizations and people already in the area of the need. This process means that problems with language, culture and governments are minimized and that utilization of local resources is maximized.. It also means that those on the scene already have their overhead expenses covered.
Those on the scene plan to continue to be in the region after the disaster so they have reason to do the best job. When housing is a big need, I.D.E.S. homes are often the best ones built. When rebuilding lost food production or economic activity, I.D.E.S. often has the most successful programs.
I.D.E.S. methods are so successful that when other agencies leave the area (sometimes asked to leave), I.D.E.S. is often asked to stay longer.
I.D.E.S. demands accountability of these local partners. If a partner does not do a thorough accounting fo the funds and resources provided by I.D.E.S., they are unlikely to get I.D.E.S. help in the future.
Not every need is a major disaster. At times, an organization requests help in dealing with its own disaster or emergency. I.D.E.S. has the necessary protocols to ensure that the project is worthy as is the requesting organization. Again, accountability is part of the process.
Board approval is necessary for any funds to be disbursed, regardless of the level of disaster. Decisions are made at the highest level by an informed board.
IDES has been a organization to work and partner with. They are very quick to respond to grant requests and do so in a manner completely in line with the emergency nature of their work. Their reporting accountability is thorough but not cumbersome and they are very willing to work with you to achieve mutual success.

I’m a shy person who doesn’t enjoy being the center of attention. As such, I have always dreaded events like fathers day and my birthday - until this year.
A couple of months before those “special” days, the Missions Coordinator at our church showed me a brochure from the International Disaster Emergency Service (I.D.E.S.) It was titled “Choose Gifts That Change Lives!”. The catalogue addressed vividly, with words and pictures, the desperate needs of struggling people through out the world and, most importantly, offered opportunities to help them in the name of Christ. For example:
For as little as one dollar, one could provide a fish that a poor family could raise and
ultimately use to provide a meal for their family.
For the cost of a cup of barista coffee one could purchase a coffee plant that would
grow and provide income for an entire family in need.
$50.00 would help a missionary assist someone in starting a pig farm.
And then I found the solution for my “special” days dilemma - A water buffalo. I told family and friends that instead of parties and gifts, I wanted all gift money to be collected and sent to I.D.E.S. for the purchase of a water buffalo for needy folks in Myanmar. The buffalo would be used on farms, in place of a John Deere, to clear fields and till the ground.
My wife collected the gift money and I.D.E.S. did the rest. Money was sent to a local missionary who purchased the water buffalo and delivered it to a struggling village where he is used to help others and as a very effective conversation starter about the love of Jesus Christ.
Thank you I.D.E.S. for making my last birthday the best I have ever had. I can’t wait till Christmas.
I am the founder of IberoAmerican Ministries. Since 1985 IDES has been a tremendous help in all of the major relief efforts we have been involved in. They have immediately responded with help for earthquakes, tsunami, and flood victims in Chile, Peru, Ecuador and Sierra Leone.
Since the ISIS invasion into Iraq, IDES has provided incredible support to the Yazidi refugees who fled their homes with only their clothing on their backs. They have provided food, clothing, and supplies necessary for their survival.
By far, this is the best relief organization I have ever worked with. They are sensitive to the need, quick to deliver the help and extremely compassionate.
We are forever grateful,
Jeff Phillips

My church has partnered with I.D.E.S. for the past thirty-three years ~ providing funds to meet hunger needs worldwide,. We appreciate their great stewardship and accountability. Their staff is dedicated and extremely helpful. We are grateful to have such an organization that can not only take food to hungry people but take the gospel to feel their souls as well. If someone wants to assist in a disaster or emergency they cannot go wrong by placing their trust and their offerings in the hands of I.D.E.S.

I first became acquainted with I.D.E.S. when Richard Sprague, then Executive Director, came to my church to speak. I became actively involved as a donor when I founded the Harvest of Talents for World Hunger Ministry at Lincoln Christian Church, Lincoln,Il in 1984. My brother and several other church members have served on the Board of Directors. In October my church will spnsor the 31st Annual Harvest of Talents for World Hunger to aid hunger victims worldwide in Jesus' name. All of theproceeds will be sent to I.LD.E.S. for hunger needs. I have experienced for many years the stewardship, dedicatiion, compassion and integrity of the Board of Directors and employees of I.D.E.S. If I could give them a ten star rating I would.
IDES is the real deal. They have been consistently faithful to their purpose over the long haul. They come through with generous help when it's most needed. They are concerned about accountability and have good ways of making sure their help is truly needed and wisely used. I have known several of the people in leadership for decades, and endorse them unconditionally. I have seen them respond quickly and efficiently to disaster after disaster. I was in Chile when they responded to a devastating earthquake in the 1980s. I was in Joplin when they responded to the F5 tornado in 2011. I have visited many countries where their help has truly been a Godsend. They have helped our ministry complete some publishing projects in disaster and relief situations. They are highly respected within our national fellowship of churches. People who don't know what to do in response to tragedies and disasters can be confident that their gifts to IDES will be used wisely, efficiently and responsibly.

I have personal experience as the leader of a nonprofit organization named JILOA Ministries inc. Our ministry, as well as, others in the ministry of helping others, build relationship on the element of trust. TRUST and integrity is paramount in this relationship with those who bless the work that we do with their hard earned funds. Personally, I have given funds to the work of I.D.E.S. and been the recipient of I.D.E.S. funding as a forwarding agent to benefit foreign missions. I.D.E.S. is an organization of great integrity and can be counted on to be one of the most generous organizations in the world who benefit people with tremendous needs both in the U.S.A. and internationally when there is a need. I.D.E.S. is there when others are not! I.D.E.S. has always been a blessing declaring the light of the Gospel. "It is better to give than receive." John Leech , President: JILOA Ministries Inc.
I've heard incredible things about IDES and how they are serving the world for Christ in real and practical ways.
We are forwarding agents for Pyin Christian Childrens Home that Jeremy Leme oversees in Myanmar. IDES has been very supportive with funds for medical, dental, disaster, and evangelistic aid. The work that IDES help Jeremy in that part of the world is amazing and much appreciated. May God continue to bless all the work that IDES takes part in all around the world! Russ & Kathy Hodgman
Our church is not able to send people to every place when a disaster occurs but IDES allows us to easily help people all over the world who are impacted by disasters.
IDES is an incredible organization with staff whose hearts must be made of gold. Our church supports IDES when we want to help with disaster relief either in the U.S. or globally. We know that our donation will be well spent.
IDES provides organized relief when disaster victims can barely think of where to start. When one of our Indian missions was hit by the tsunami in 2004, we saw the IDES team step up and make a big difference. We were impressed not only with their relief work, but their heart for the victims as well.
In addition, IDES meets smaller needs which are much less publicized. We have seen this happen many times. Their main concern is always that the Gospel is advanced as physical needs are met.

IDES is truly such a blessing. I have been aware of the organization for a couple of years now, and have watched their online presence grow and expand in incredible ways. The content they share is heartfelt and valuable. It is wonderful to be able to see pictures of volunteers as well as the people being served through IDES. We pray for IDES regularly and the work that God is doing with and through them.
IDES is the most outstanding organization in the field.
Their comment to their work, the excellent assistant and the passion to help the people in needs are some of the wonderful qualities that make this organization great.
We feel bless to known IDES and to partner with them.
I have been volunteering with this organization for almost a year, and am amazed on how much good they do for areas in the US and overseas.
This is a fantastic non-profit. We have had numerous opportunities to work with them for a variety of causes, especially in Pakistan. Their quick response and dedication have made it possible for home rebuilding and refugees programs to be funded for example
I have seen the personal pride and effort that the leaders of IDES put forth. I have had the privilege to work with IDES on a few occasions as a volunteer. I was able to go with our local church to assist in the building of storage sheds in Henryville, IN a few years ago after a tornado ripped through the area. It was amazing to see how organized things were which allowed me as a non-carpenter the ability to assist with the building of the shed.
Since then I have had the pleasure of working in IDES's workshop where the sheds begin. I worked building the walls of the sheds in order to make a shed kit that is delivered to areas where disasters have occurred for assembly by volunteers in the field. What a great way to provide shelter for the belongings of disaster victims who so desperately need them.
Great job, IDES. You truly are fulfilling Christ's mission to help those in need.
IDES is definitely God-sent to us at South Nassau Christian Church in Baldwin, NY. They have helped us in a very timely fashion that goes beyond funds. They sent a coordinator on site who helped us organize and create a center to also extend our help to the community during that difficult time. Time and again, IDES reflects God's love and grace through its ministry. We cannot thank them enough for their dedication to God's work here on earth.
Since the first time we had requested IDES for support for the projects of Harvest for Christ Foundation ( 501C3 approved), they have been always a willing partner in our ministries in the Philippines. We appreciate their due diligence before and after each supported mission. That assures us and their supporters that the funding is used wisely for the ministries of the Lord all over the world. In the Philippines, where we try to help out as much as we can, they have supported projects that helped out build churches destroyed after the strongest hurricane ever to hit land; they helped for seeding project in Luzon after heavy flood; IDES helped in starting project for self support initiatives in poverty stricken areas in the provinces; they help us continue our quarterly medical/dental/vision outreaches in the Luzon area. I am one of the founding organizers of the Harvest Foundation along with my brothers. We thank our almighty Father for the vision and mission of IDES. We fully endorse and support IDES. Jonathan Romulo Harvest for Christ Foundation.
I have been a regular supporter for almost two years. Before contributing I checked IDES out and was impressed by their low overhead. The money I give goes to the people in need. Since becoming a supporter I have seen the numerous ways that IDES responds to disasters both here in the US and abroad. Always, the love of Christ is central to their mission . Recent improvements to their website and social media presence are allowing the stories to be told in a compelling fashion and to a wider audience.
So blessed to be able to contribute to a ministry that is meeting both physical and spiritual needs of so many people. Thank you for bringing help and hope to a hurting world!
My son in love works for IDES and I have the privilege of seeing the good work they are doing from the inside out. They meet immediate needs and help establish sustainable avenues to meet needs long term as well. They come alongside, feed, build, grow and, most importantly, share Christ with people all over the world and in our own neighborhoods. It is humbling to read about the work they are doing and the people groups they are reaching. Keep up the great work, IDES!
IDES was on the ground immediately after the tornadoes hit Joplin MO and Moore OK twice. The service they provide to residents who have lost everything is vital in their recovery and rebuilding efforts. Our church has worked alongside IDES to help provide relief on several occasions. In addition to that our church supports them financially on a regular basis. It is a blessing to partner with a relief organization that is a faithful steward of their resources. The bottom line is that hurting people are helped in the name of Christ.
IDES has partnered with Landmark Christian Church in Chippewa Falls, Wisconsin in a number of ways over the last dozen years. IDES has provided funding to help us; distribute Hmong Language Bibles in Thailand, repair numerous buildings that were devastated by natural disasters, shipping of food to Haiti after the 2010 earthquake and numerous times since. IDES has taken the lead at the Student International Conference on Missions each year with learning activities for our teen age members, they have provided opportunities for the teens to package food to be sent to to those in need and a building experience where the teens build sheds that can be shipped to areas in the USA where disasters have occurred. These sheds can be used so that families can store their most needed items. We are currently working with IDES to repair a family home in the Chiang Rai area of Thailand. IDES is involved in some of the largest disaster relief services in the world and they still care about helping individual families that are in need.
IDES provides a vital role in both helping meet needs in the midst of adversity, but also in promoting the Gospel message. Their unique approach to linking up local churches and missionaries to the people needing aid provides a great opportunity for a relationship to be established, which can then provide an open door for faith conversations to happen. I've supported them for many years. And plan to continue!
I have been part of 3 churches who support IDES, I've been a part of 2 or 3 drives to help raise funds that would be distributed by IDES. I've also worked with IDES for meal packing events and wall building events.
They are very focused, honest with money and focused on long term help, not just the short term assistance.
International Disaster Emergency Service is our "go to" organization when disaster hits around the world. They channel funds thru local Christians with boots on the ground directly to those impacted by the natural disaster. We know when we give, our money goes to those most hurting. IDES gives us play by play reports on how the disaster relief work is going in an area. IDES is truly a first responder and helps us as a church play a significant role in helping people who need immediate relief and rescue. Thank you IDES!
In a day when so many other charitable organizations end up using so little of all donations given for the purpose the donor intended, we find IDES to be the exact opposite: whatever we donate will go completely to the cause they are responding to. And what we find to be equally important in our giving is the fact that all of the wonderful emergency services are done in the name of Christ. IDES is truly a marvelous Christian outreach, meeting the needs of so many people. We continue to give, knowing we can have complete confidence in the stewardship of every dollar they receive.
IDES does tremendous work around the world. They are worthy of your support. To

I have been volunteering with IDES for about 6 months. The volunteer coordinator, Misty Bodkins, is awesome. She is so attentive and appreciative of the volunteers. She really makes you feel like you are an important part of IDES. I look forward to going on Tuesdays and doing what I can to help this great ministry. What IDES does is so important especially in the world today when so many tragedies are happening all over the world. As a volunteer, I feel that I can offer support with organizational or administrative tasks so that the staff can focus on the very important mission of this ministry.
This ministry does a great job of getting life sustaining necessities to people in emergencies and disasters all over the planet. They work directly and at the request of missionaries who live on the scene, so you can trust that your gift will be well used and delivered by people who will share the Good News along with it. A great, experienced staff full of loving , committed people.
As a representative of our church's mission group we often give to mission workers on faith and never have a way of truly knowing if the work was completed or reached the intended recipient. In our relationship with IDES we have received reports from mission groups in the field or persons in need who received physical and spiritual support from IDES. We can see our investment reaching many to do God's work.
We have been aware of and supportive of the wonderful work that IDES does around the world for a long time. Our perspective changed in November 2013 when our home and large proton of our little town was destroyed by an EF4 tornado. So thankful for the support IDES gave our community. We personally were given a shed for our property. It was a huge blessing to have a place to put a few things durning the extremely long process of rebuilding. IDES is so well organized and their efforts and volunteers coordinated very efficiently. That is a big strength when stepping into a disaster where nothing is organized or efficient. Nearly everyday now I look out my window and see the shed and am reminded of kindness, generosity and God's faithfulness shown through this great organization and the good people who serve there.
We first learned about IDES through our church's Harvest of Talents ministry. A fun-filled day that provides donations for IDES to use for world hunger. After a number of years we have become a part of the Harvest of Talents committee, and we look forward each year to the ways that our small church and community can have a huge impact on the world through IDES. We have also had some experience with IDES as volunteers in Joplin, MO about a year after the tornado devastated that area. There aren't too many organizations that I donate to that I can say I personally know the Executive Director, but I can with IDES. We have met and gotten to know Rick Jett and his wife Nancy, as they always try to attend our annual Harvest of Talents celebration. They are truly caring and compassionate people with a vision to carry out God's will in their lives. Rick & Nancy and their dedicated staff have my confidence when sending donations. I don't worry about where my money is going or how it will be used. I know it is being used efficiently and effectively to carry God's love out in to the world.
When we give to help meet needs around the world, we want to be good stewards of the money we send. IDES uses our donations to help others in a very efficient manner, with 87% of expenses spent on programs & services it delivers to people in need. They meet physical and spiritual needs by partnering with church missionaries who are already on the ground in the affected area.
We have supported IDES for many years because they are quick to respond to any emergency and do their help through people already on the field wherever possible. This prevents fraud and gets the help to people who need it most. We even have the FISH bank they offered years ago for our spare change. We love turning what money we don't miss to something vital for someone else.
iDES provides hope for the hurting around the world including disaster relief in our state. I became familiar with IDES while serving on our church's mission ministry team and now am blessed with the opportunity to serve on the IDES board. I have always been impressed with the stewardship of IDES in the administration and compassion of distributing funds through our churches and missionaries around the world. The testimonies of recipients display the love of Christ and the ministry aids the spread of the gospel.
IDES is a very effective international relief agency. They have very small staff and overhead, but effectively work with churches and missionaries in disaster areas to provide relief. I first became personally acquainted with IDES personnel after Hurricane Katrina and was very blessed that our little churches in Mandeville and Slidell were able to host many volunteers who came to assist in the recovery. IDES provided early and sustained assistance and their representatives were very efficient in analyzing what needed to be done and recruiting volunteers to assist. I have the highest regard for IDES personnel for their personal integrity and compassion and for the agency's prompt action to provide needed relief. I give them my highest recommendation and am fully confident that my donations are wisely used.
They are a very compassionate group and have helped so many facing catastrophic situations. I love to go to the Harvest of Talents each year and purchase items knowing that all the money will be put to good use by IDES.
IDES is very organized and good at what they do which is helping people in their time of need. They don't only focus on one area of need but strive for a more wholistic remedy. I have helped with tornado rebuilding in southern Indiana and it was very well managed. Our church has also hosted the rice packing event for Haiti which is an awesome hands on way to get many who may not ever travel to a far away place to help someone in need. I love that they serve both domestically and internationally, that they meet physical needs and share the gospel message.
They are reliable and compassionate in meeting the needs of people -- in the USA and internationally.
One of the most gratifying experiences is the privilege of working with the original Harvest of Talents for World Hunger, Lincoln IL, on the Harvest Ministry Team, now in its 31st year after having raised nearly two million dollars for hunger relief in Jesus' name in 26 countries, including the USA, and inspiring several other Harvests to begin across the country. Key scriptures for the Harvest ministry are: I Peter 4:10, Matthew 25:35, and Galatians 6:9. It is very humbling, precious, and magnificently worthwhile. Since its inception, the Harvest has given 100% of funds raised to I.D.E.S. for distribution to accountable Christian missionaries who give full measure for food where it is needed most for hunger relief, and it has always been given in Jesus' name. While working together to share our prayers, talents, time, and resources is wonderful, the fact that we can count on every penny we raise going where it is desperately needed and turned into nourishing food while giving God the glory is all thanks to I.D.E.S. They make the tough decisions, and they make them prayerfully. We treasure our relationship with I.D.E.S. as trusted partners in this ministry. I have only the highest respect for the executive director, board, staff, and the history on which they stand. Prayer, faith, dedication, and compassion are at the heart of everyone at I.D.E.S., and we could not be more secure in our partnership with I.D.E.S.

As Chairperson of Harvest of Talents for World Hunger, now in its 28th year, I can attest to the integrity of I.D.E.S. because of personally knowing the staff and a board member (both past and present). The dedication of the staff and board to the I.D.E.S. mission is without question. The Harvest ministry entrusts every penny raised to I.D.E.S. for their discretion in distributing the funds around the world for hunger relief in Jesus' name; last year the Harvest raised over $93K in Lincoln, IL alone, in addition to sister Harvests elsewhere.
I.D.E.S. staff is excellent with communication, outreach, support, and stewardship. It is a prayerfully managed charitable organization with leadership integrity from the top down. The Harvest is proud to partner with I.D.E.S. in hunger relief; the missionaries are accountable for funds and reporting.
We appreciate the various ways (in addition to hunger relief) that the Christian community can help people in need around the world through I.D.E.S.
It's always good to give money to an organization that you know will help those who need it...at home and abroad. I trust and know without a doubt that my donation is helping others, not being used to line someone's pockets. They help others in Jesus' name!
IDES (International Disaster Emergency Service) Is my favorite non-profit organization. This group helps people all over the world who are suffering through natural disasters. One of the main reasons that I support them, is that I know that all the money that I donate to them will go straight to the people who need it most. They do more than help people in major disasters. They also care about people who have suffered smaller things, such as when my home church was burned by arsonists. Even the children in my Sunday School class are able to understand what IDES does and enthusiastically support this group. They are truly God's servants.
Debra Moberly
We are proud to be involved with IDES for all the years it has been working to help others at home and all around the world. As mission chairperson, I have gotten to be a part of our church's connection in all IDES is doing.
Teressa Pearson
I have been in the ministry for over sixty two years and there is nothing on the face of this earth that is equal to the type of non profit, sacrificial, benevolent ,kindness, and humanitarian service that IDES does world wide.
If there was a one to ten star rating for such benefits that IDES contributes to mankind, a multitude of responsible leaders would rate it 10 ,as well as those who work with the despairing, poor, scattered lives, orphans helpless elderly ,broken hearted and hopeless.
In places where there are tears, hunger , despair, loss of homes, injury, in all types of international crisis IDES steps in and makes thing happen for good and for God. Through their spiritual insight they can return a community or situation into encouragement, hope, optimism, even smiles and restore purpose and give "light at the end of the tunnel".
I have seen IDES rise to meet ugly tragic situations -with help from doners-and feed over 4,300 families where there was hunger, restore polluter water to healthy use, send equipment for responsible leaders to use to build, feed the orphaned and neglected children, rebuild tornado stricken towns, rebuild earthquake areas and restore hurricane cities and homes to liveable communities.
I have seen their contributions make possibles teaching situation where high ethic, morality, honesty, godliness and virtue is restored.
Much of this is due to their founder's purpose and mission
.as well to it board responsibility to good stewardship and accounting. iDES continues to grow and expand and is most worthy
of a donors support.

Christians with a burden to share with people who have experienced hardships and disasters face a dilemma: how to get help to them quickly, efficiently and effectively. Of the many organizations that do this, IDES stands out because of its distinctive method.
IDES typically addresses disasters and emergencies globally by working directly with churches and church leaders to fund the responses that those people "on the ground" design and implement. This method leverages the expertise of people who know the situation firsthand. It also eliminates layers of bureaucracy that can add expense and limit response time and effectiveness.
With all this, there's strong accountability. Those on the field who receive funding are responsible to account for their expenditures and provide evidence of the work they've done and its impact. Those who deliver faithfully can receive funds in the future as new needs and opportunities arise. Those who don't follow through on their plans lose the opportunity for future funding.
Whenever the news comes of a disaster in the world that causes human suffering, my first recommendation is that concerned Christians send their gifts to IDES. They can do so with the assurance that their gifts will be used well and that people will be cared for in the name of Jesus Christ.
International Disaster Emergency Service Inc is a truly well organized disaster response organization as well as dedicated to World Hunger Relief. With the addition of their new Offices and Warehouse in Noblesville they are uniquely qualified to respond with amazing speed compared to bureaucratically controlled organizations. A review of their financial aspirations places them, in my judgment, into a category of one of the leanest Administration to Function spending ratios among numerous Non-Profits which I've supported over the years.
I am always impressed at the speed with which IDES responds to needs throughout the world. Very soon after you hear about a disaster on the news, IDES has already made arrangements through partnering organizations to help those in the affected areas. I'm thankful to have such a ministry in our brotherhood that is so well organized and so well prepared to meet those needs.
IDES sends relief to disasters worldwide with the lowest overhead of any major charity. I have collected Sonfish banks for our church for over 15 years. Every penny goes for famine relief. Any one can fill a Sonfish bank from children to the elderly on fixed incomes. What many consider pocket change can keep a person alive for a month. We have sent gifts for US tornadoes, the tsunami in Japan, earthquakes in Chili and monsoon flooding in the Philippines. I appreciate how much of our gift goes to the designated need.
We have only recently donated but hope in the near future to be able to donate our time at IDES new location. We are so excited they have such a beautiful location and we just happen to move in the area about ten months ago! IDES is a wonderful ministry and a blessing to so many!
Tim and Debbie Griffith
IDES has been present and helping people at nearly every disaster we have heard about, providing supplies and support to lift people out of their most dire needs.
I became familiar with IDES several years ago when I began working with missions at First Christian Church in Winter Park, Florida. Impressive is the fact that 100% of donations go directly to the victims of disaster, whether it be domestic or foreign. I have friends in Charlestown, Indiana who were assisted by IDES when a tornado destroyed much of their community. A Filipino co-worker was touched when she saw and heard of the assistance the Philippines was receiving from IDES about a year ago after disaster struck their nation. Wherever disaster strikes IDES is there. And all is done with love and compassion as they serve the Lord. It is my honor to write this and support IDES whenever I can.

As a college administrator in the Philippines for 17 years, we really appreciated IDES. They provided finances for disaster relief numerous times - for floods, typhoons, fire, and drought. They were great to work with. The local people were always very appreciative. IDES had a good reputation. The people said that they were not corrupt like others because they always gave out at least 5kg of rice - rather than the usual 1kg. None of their finances were skimmed off the top with the likes of "consultancy fees." IDES were able to provide assistance in smaller pockets where help was really needed but overlooked by the biggest relief organizations.
For the past two decades, IDES has had a special place in my heart. They help where you would help personally if you could, and every penny I give goes to the victims of disaster in the US and around the world. IDES is open and honest, transparent, and truthful. I have looked into donating to other charities and relief efforts, but always ALWAYS rely on IDES to minister on my behalf with the resources I donate.

We love helping this agency help others in their time of need! Local people who serve TheLord and love others!
The IDES staff is great to work with. I've had the privilege of helping to make food packets to feed the hungry around the world in Jesus' name. The IDES team consistently works alongside our congregation at our Harvest of Talents project each year. Rick Jett and his team at IDES are great people, who love to serve others as they spread the Gospel.
Always amazed to hear how far and wide the donor dollar reaches to help those in need by giving through IDES. They truly represent the hands and feet of Christ!
Before I retired from the preaching ministry in the Independent Christian Church I served several churches in Georgia, Utah and Idaho. IDES has been my go to ministry whenever disaster strikes anywhere in the world. It has been a blessing to be able to minister to God's people in their needs through IDES knowing that the highest standards of stewardship are being applied to every penny that is donated. I continue to support and recommend these fine servants of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Our Church recently packed food for Haiti with IDES - International Disaster Emergency Service. It was a wonderful experience and my kids really got into being able to help people in need all across the world. It was a great day!!
I have supported this wonderful organization since their inception. I have been on the Missions Committee at our church, and IDES is one of the regular missions that we support. I like the fact that funds go directly to the nearest Restoration Movement church or missionary in the area needing help, because they would know exactly where the help is needed the most. I always recommend IDES to anyone wishing to help in the event of disasters because I trust them implicitly! In addition to funding, they also send and support teams of volunteers to the disaster areas (such as New Orleans and Joplin, MO) to assist in rebuilding, distributing supplies, etc. They are prompt with receipts, and I also like the calendar they provide on the back of their receipts listing some of the many areas that have received funding all over the world.
Reading the monthly IDES calendar of where IDES is and what they have done is nothing short of awesome and miraculous! Their presence and assistance at disasters both small and large is comforting and all to the glory of God!
We really appreciate IDES. Our minister was a missionary before coming back to the pulpit and he said that IDES gives almost all of their donations to help the people in need. He thinks it is one of the best in using money wisely. So many so called "relief agents" use a very small fraction of their donations for helping others. This is why we give to IDES. We know where our money is going. They were in Oklahoma City helping the people of Moore and as far as the TV coverage went, they received very little credit because they were not BIG NAME but believe me----they are a wonderful group.

Excellent use of funds! Overhead is at a minimum and dollar value is maximized. Physical and spiritual needs served at the same time.
We have been Prayer Warriors for IDES for many years so we are aware of the thousands of dollars given each month to various missions, cities, and countries for flood relief, feeding programs, clean water and, of course, disaster relief. One of our favorite ways to donate is to "purchase" via a catalog a goat or some chicks which will be given to someone in a third world country for a micro business.
We exclaim our CONGRATULATIONS to IDES for receiving the highest rating-4 stars- from Charity Navigator for "sound fiscal management and commitment to accountability and transparency".
I feel part of the work of IDES as I pray daily with them. I appreciate their timely response to my donations and the inclusion of the monthly prayer calendar on the back of my receipt. It shows me they are wise stewards of the money I entrust to the work of IDES. I can always count on IDES to be at the sight of a need quickly.
I worked with IDES in Henryville,In doing recovery work after a tornado hit the area. This is a first rate organization.
when the earthquake and tsunami hit Japan, I had several friends who asked where they could send money to help. I recommended IDES because I know of their work and that donations go where they are most needed and not into the pockets of administrative persons. IDES has a sterling reputation and is always prepared to go wherever there is a disaster anywhere in the world.
IDES is always among the first responders to any natural disaster in the USA and globally. They are also one of the last organizations to leave. Our experience has always been that 100% of our funds are distributed within the impacted communities much faster than any other relief organization. IDES is an organization led by men and women of high integrity, who are dedicated to helping people worldwide and serving Christ.
AWESOME, top notch ministry that makes the most of every opportunity to help those in need while sharing the good news of Jesus! :) count them financially trustworthy stewards of the funds entrusted to them for relief efforts.

100% efficiant and effective, wise stewards of the funds entrusted to them - IDES is one of the best in aiding our missionaries to minister and evangelize to victims in times of great tragedy and difficulties around the world. Many of the independant missionaries and ministries that we support regularly have had need of IDES help and have received it promptly. IDES is reliable and scripturally on target. Our church has supported IDES for many years and Lord willing many more.
We have participated in Harvest of Talents that supports IDES for many years now, and have seen the ways that they have been around the world for many victims of disaster. We have also known people on the Board who have had to struggle with how to allocate the money to different needs, as the needs are so many. I am excited at how they use local churches, that are already grounded in the areas where the disasters are, instead of needing to set up new systems to get the help where it is needed. From observing how the money is used, I see that little is used for administration, and they are very careful to be sure that as much as possible goes to where it is needed.
I came to the knowledge of I.D.E.S. through my work with our Harvest Of Talents for World Hunger events. I have been so impressed with the dedication to the mission of helping not only those abroad but here in the U.S as well. One reviewer, Mitzi S uses the word "trusworthy" and she is absolutely correct. If you give your money and time and talent to I.D.E.S. you can know without a doubt that the dollars will go to the most needy and in the name of Jesus.
Thank God for IDES! This wonderful organization has come to the aid of Thousands of cyclone and flood ravaged Christians in India over the past few years. IDES has sent over $65,000 to Christian ministers who have been able to reach many Hindu people with the Gospel because of the relief they have been able to provide. The last disastrous flood wiped out many Temples, homes and buildings in a very sacred area of Hinduism, where preaching the Gospel has been almost impossible. But the funds received from IDES has enabled Christian ministers to reach into this area with the Gospel in a powerful way. India is a vast land with great numbers of souls that have never been taught the truth about Jesus Christ. Thanks to the contributions of IDES, hundreds of thousands will come in contact with the Gospel for the first time, and many will obey the word and be added to God's church. Thank God for IDES!!
IDES is the most trustworthy agency I know for handling money. Anytime a national emergency strikes and our church or individual church members want to help out, we do it through IDES. We know the money that is given to them is being used for the purpose it was sent. We've met recipients as well as givers and IDES' integrity is never in question. Often, if another agency calls for solicitation, I will ask what percentage of the giving goes towards the actual project. It usually stops them since a large percent goes towards the fundraisers and not the fund. I simply tell them we do ALL our giving through IDES. It's also very convenient to do all this type of giving in one place and to have an honest answer for any other fundraisers who often call during emergencies.
My husband has done volunteer work for them twice and both ventures were organized and successful.
God has truly blessed our churches with the work IDES does around the world.
Have supported IDES for years. They have helped a number of victims of various disasters across the country and around the world. They helped members of the South Louisville Christian Church, where I served for 17 years, as well as they church. They helped the White Mills Christian Camp, in Kentucky when the camp was devastated by a flood. They have responded to the victims of tornadoes in Birmingham, Alabama and in Joplin, Missouri. I can't say enough good things about their ministry
I have been blessed to have served as a volunteer with IDES on several different occassions. I have worked with IDES in the area where Hurricane Katrina left devistation as well as in tornado relief around this country. IDES is TOP NOTCH! I have been impressed with the organization from the leaders in the office to the individuals out in the field. I have watched as IDES touched lives of people who were left homeless or devistated through natural disasters. I have seen them not only re-build homes, but restore lives. I am honored to be able to serve with IDES and look forward to our next adventure in Oklahoma City this October.
My Junior year of High School, I was fortunate enough to be to go down to Louisianna with members of my church as a part of IDES. Durring my week there I was able to expierence the three part process of home building. Our first day we were able to be apart of a "home dedication ceremony" The next few days I helped work on a house that barley had walls, and to finish up my week I helped finish a house that a family would be able to move into that next Monday when a new crew arrived to volunteer. The staff was very helpful and great to work with, and I still keep in touch with some staff and some mebers of the other church that came down and qorked with our crew from Maryland.
Our son works for IDES. It is obviously an international organization. It has been a great honor to learn about their humble beginnings and their enormous impact around the world.
Christians around the world donate and benefit from their outreach made possible though IDES.
They serve all peoples through missionaries and representatives by suporting their work including housing, medical, nutritional, clean water and evangelism during disasters international and domestic, They are loyal to their mission. They are currently stretching and growing both physically and in their desire to reach more people and do more work for the Kingdom. I would consider any donation made to this group to be money well spent as it will be compounded by their honest and open approach to distribution as well as grown through the love of those on the receiving end. Rick and Marsha Chapman
This relief service coordinates with local missions to help them rebuild the people and infrastructures. Most relief come and go between the disasters. IDES helps the relief stay.
I participate in a missions ministry team at a local church. In the 30 plus years that I have been reading about, working with and supporting various organizations, I have found none that use their resources so well and so wisely. IDES works with local entities to determine the real needs of people in emergency or critical situations. In that way they can assure that funds do not go to waste, but directly to the ones who are most in need. If you designate your donation to a specific need, that is where it is used. They keep their overhead low so donations go to the on-the-ground need.
I have supported IDES through out many years as well as my parents when I was growing up. The two churches of Christ that I have been member of have also supports this mission without disappointment. I am very pleased with the operation, promptness of acknowledgement, churches supporting churches in affected area, etc. It is a very worth while ministry!
Each time I donate to IDES, I get a prompt receipt and personal note. My family loves that our donations go directly to help those hurting--here and abroad. One can even donate specifically for any particular need or situation in the world, and IDES will make sure that donation goes to that need.
IDES has helped so many people in the name of Christ and that is a blessing to us as Christians.
My wife and I have been supporters of IDES for many years. We have followed the ministry of this organization and trust them to use the funds provided with good stewardship. The fact that IDES works through known ministers and missionaries provides assurance that funds donated are used carefully and in a worthwhile manner. We have designated funds to procure goats and chickens so that impoverished people can become more self sufficient. We have also heard from folks we know who have seen, first hand, disaster relief provided by IDES' co-workers.
WE enthusiastically support and recommend this mission !
Hi! My name is Chuck McNall. I am an elder at Cedar Creek Church of Christ near Leo, Indiana. I have served as our Missions Team leader for the past eighteen years.
I first came to know of IDES when I began to serve on the Missions Team.
We have supported them for many years and consider them to be one of the most sold and worthy missions of our support roster!
The leadership of this great organization has always been "top notch" and has always had a heart for the people of the world.
Rick Jet has been a real joy to get to know and provides the type of leadership that will take IDES to the next level of "International Disaster Emergency Service"!
It is such a pleasure to me and to our people to know, without a shadow of doubt, that every dollar that is given to IDES is spent for the helping of people around the world. None of the gift to IDES is ever lost in "administration expenses". What a blessing!
May God continue to bless all of the efforts of this wonderful ministry for the glory of God's work in the USA and all of the world!
Chuck McNall,
Missions Team leader, Cedar Creek CofC
We have supported IDES through our church family and personally since its inception. Having been on the Board at Asia Christian Services I have seen the direct impact that IDES has had in disaster areas as well as helping the physical and spiritual needs of churches and families around the globe. Although I have served on an American Red Cross Board my preference when supporting needs has been IDES. They focus so well and provide the full dollar given to areas which have critical needs.
They are a true blessing in the area of disaster relief!

We have been at a Harvest of Talents in Lincoln, Illinois many times and have seen what I.D.E.S. has done and is doing all over the world. It inspired us to be involved in their ministry. We can't be everywhere helping people in need, but I.D.E.S. can. This is why we are happy to support their work.
I know Rick & Nancy Jett as well as Janet Bates, widow of Milton Bates. Milton helped to found IDES several years ago, but they continue to bring the love of Christ to the hurting and lost around the world in service through IDES. They have a heart for the Lord and for helping others to know the saving knowledge of Jesus Christ and that through their service through IDES we can feed, clothe, and care for the less fortunate and those suffering from calamity.
IDES is a great way to help people in need because such a large portion of the money goes directly to people who just survived a disaster. We've donated for domestic and international disasters.

Have donated to this organization for years without disappointment. They consistently support local/in place missions or churches where emergency needs exist. Because they use the local/in place existing organizations, I am assured actual needs are met. Highly recommend IDES.

IDES has been instrumental in helping our organization, Christian Mission South Haiti, for many years. Since the earthquake and floods IDES has been awesome in helping us. We are located in Les Cayes, and although we had no earthquake damage, we did have to deal with refugees. We were able to feed in excess of 1,000 people per day including the staff at the local hospital who was working day and night. We thank IDES and ask God to continue to bless them and the work they do.
A large group of men from our church and the area went down to LA after Katrina destroyed the area and helped build a house for a family that lost their home. They had meals with the family that week and shared the gospel with them. IDES is an amazing non-profit that helps those in need physically and spiritually.
I worked with IDES after hurricane Katrina in Mississippi and Louisiana and they are a great orgainization to work with. They care about the people and are spend their funds wisely.
My wife and I personally know Rick and Nancy Jett the executive directors of I.D.E.S. Before we knew them we were impressed by I.D.E.S. as a mission impacting lives world wide and here in our country. We have seen them at our church visiting to gain support for I.D.E.S. We have seen them at Harvest of Talents fundraising events. We have seen them at Missions week camp. You can find them yearly at the National Missionary convention. We receive their newsletter. They are very active and accessible hard workers for the Lord. Many ways to donate monetarily or through mission trips. We trust that any money given to I.D.E.S. is used prayerfully to help hurting people in the name of Jesus.
This ministry is a true servant of Jesus Christ. They serve above and beyond the call of duty on a continual basis. Countless numbers of people have been helped and are alive because of their work.
I appreciate the fact that IDES works with missions that are already established in the areas where disasters strike. This cuts down on red tape and the time between donation and help arriving on the field.
My church does the fish banks every year, and we've also given to IDES in order to build a home for $1,000 in Indonesia. We think IDES is great! IDES touches so many people in times of need.
IDES is an excellent nonprofit organization. They assist in natural disasters as well as in programs to alleviate hunger, to provide clean drinking water, and to help in other means. They are very accountable in their use of funds, and I have always received a prompt receipt for my contributions. I highly recommend the organization as a worthy nonprofit group.
