As a parent of a high school junior who plays the cello, our family has had the privilege of witnessing our child's musical journey take a remarkable turn at the Midwest Young Artists Conservatory. In 2022, our son joined the Symphony Orchestra, and from the very beginning, it became evident that this experience would far exceed our expectations.

Dr. Dennis, founder of MYAC and the Symphony Orchestra director, has been a significant teacher in our son's musical journey. Dr. Dennis speaks with the students in a heartfelt and inspiring way, and he has an unmistakable passion for music. His words encourage a lifelong love of music, irrespective of what the students may do post-high school. His approach is a testament to his dedication not only to their musical growth but to their personal and educational development as well.

One of the standout things for us at MYAC is the sense of camaraderie among the students. It's heartwarming to see them root for one another and provide support without succumbing to toxic competition. In our short time with MYAC, our family has not only witnessed our son's deepening appreciation for ensemble playing and the effort required to bring incredible music to life, but we have also seen the formation of friendships that we hope are lifelong and beyond the stage.
