A great nonprofit that is there when you need them the most. If you need help with basic needs in Windham or Tolland counties Access is there for you. In the past, Access has helped me with food supplements and Energy Assistance.

I applied and qualified for the Access Home Energy Assistance Program (HEAP) and received a much-needed oil delivery during the Winter. As part of the program, I was able to schedule a free inspection and cleaning of my furnace in the Spring. Upon inspection, my furnace was declared unsafe as it had been found leaking carbon monoxide. My furnace was immediately shut down and I found myself unable to afford to get it fixed. Thankfully as an Access customer, I was quickly referred to the Repair/Replacement Program. The HEAP Program Specialist quickly coordinated the furnace repair at no cost to me. I am extremely grateful for the Access HEAP service, if it wasn’t for Access my daughter and I could have gotten really sick or worse!
