In July, 2022, a 1,000 year devastating flood occurred in Letcher County, KY, along with several other counties in Eastern Kentucky. Two weeks later, my nonprofit was set up in a church ready to help flood survivors with several needs. Without internet service, we could do very little. I emailed ITDRC on Friday evening after hearing about how they could help and that Saturday morning I received a call saying we were all set up with internet and, if we needed any chromebooks, they would deliver them. What a Godsend ITDRC was for our ability to service the flood survivors in their time of unbelievable need! We continue to work with ITDRC to this day serving Letcher County, KY with assistance from ITDRC. I truly don’t know what we would have done without them. They were and are true lifesavers!
