At the end of this summer (2023) I was lucky enough to get a chance to accompany Darice on one of her many outings to check on these beautiful horses. We packed a few goodies for our long day and headed out on the 4x4. The surrounding mountains did not disappoint. Darice was snapping photos and giving me directions on what names and marking to log down, and my smile was growing and growing. I own 2 mustangs that have sadly been rounded up from other HMAs and I could not help but feel heartbroken for them as I watched these amazing horses be free where they belong. During the day we documented horses, checked on fresh springs, and fences, and saw various other wildlife. I can't thank Darice enough for letting me tag along and help out.
