I have known Zamfira Pauna for over 15 years. We worked together in a long term care facility in different capacities. She exhibited a compassionate concern for the elderly in the facility. We became friends. That is how I learned about her concern and compassion for orphaned children in her native country of Romania. Concern and compassion are what prompted her to start the “Heart of Romania Children’s Foundation.” Her goals have always been improving lives and bringing hope to orphaned children. My husband and I have been contributors. We know that Zamfira puts her heart and soul into anything that she does. We believe that any contribution that we give to the Foundation is being used in the best possible way, and that the goals of bringing hope and improving lives are being fulfilled.
