HFHWM is an example of a non-profit with a sincere and focused commitment to helping provide fair housing in a community that doesn't readily lend itself to affordability. The HFHWM leadership team earnestly advocates for accessibility to low-cost housing among the decision and policy makers in their counties, and are well regarded as passionate professionals dedicated to enhancing their neighborhoods. The empathy they have for those who struggle to improve their living conditions is evident in the way they treat applicants and their tireless efforts to promote equitable housing access by providing a hand up, not a handout. Having worked on several builds and participated in multiple fundraising events, I can attest to the contagious enthusiasm each of the staff bring to their work!
