HFHWM is a great organization with an incredibly important mission. Affordable housing has never been more important in view of today's rapidly escalating home prices. Every member of the HFHWM staff is dedicated to the organization's goal of providing a world where everyone has a decent place to live. I've volunteered with HFHWM for a decade, and seeing how thrilled and grateful the new homeowners are to move into their new home is wonderfully heartwarming, because they'll never again have to worry about being able to provide an affordable, stable home for their family.

Habitat for Humanity Williamson-Maury is an incredible organization, that does wonderful work to facilitate affordable housing opportunities in our local community. The staff is totally dedicated to the mission while being professional, welcoming and supportive to homeowners, potential homeowners, donors and volunteers alike. I've volunteered at HFHWM in many capacities and have always felt that I was able to make a tangible difference in the lives of the new homeowners. The homeowners' ability to provide a stable, affordable home for their families in turn allows them to start climbing the socioeconomic ladder. Their success story begins with the HFHWM organization helping them become a homeowner by providing them a "hand up", not a "hand-out". You will never find a more grateful group of homeowners than those that worked through HFHWM to get there.
Habitat for Humanity Williamson-Maury is an amazing organization in the community. I had the pleasure of attending their annual event Hammers & High Heels, which is fundraiser to raise funds to build a home for a single mom. It was such an inspiration hearing the story of the family that was blessed for the opportunity for a home and another family member also was a recipient. Habitat for Humanity truly is changing the lives of the community by securing homes for generations.
Habitat for Humanity Williamson- Maury is a wonderful organization that prioritizes giving a hand up instead of a hand out. It was wonderful to hear the stories of lives and communities which are being changed one home at a time!
I chaperoned a group of 20+ college students to Franklin, TN to work with Williamson-Maury about a year and a half ago, and we had the BEST experience with this affiliate. They treated us like an extended family and made sure that everyone on our trip had a rewarding and valuable experience. The quality of work and supervision on the worksite was top-notch. The construction coordinators on the worksite were honestly one of the highlights of the entire trip. I can truly tell that the Williamson-Maury affiliate is doing great work in their community. We had such a good experience that I'm currently in the planning stages of taking another group to work with Williamson-Maury in May 2025. We'll be making the trek all the way from Pittsburgh, PA again!
Habitat for Humanity has been an awesome partner of Young Leaders Council! We have had the pleasure of partnering with them as we send our own program participants out to serve in the community as volunteers and board interns. And we have also had the privilege to have some of their staff go through our program, as well. They have been a faithful, kind, intentional group of people to work alongside in the nonprofit space and we are grateful to call them friends!
Habitat Williamson-Maury (HFHWM) is a fantastic cause and organization!! What better mission and work could there be than providing affordable homes for those in need. We started working with HFHWM in 2016 and have worked with all facets of the HFHWM organization, volunteers, and home owners. My favorite thing is working on the jobsite where I get to meet and work with the volunteers, HFHWM build crew & homeowners, and get to pound some nails and see something go from bare ground to a finished home. I use the word home throughout instead of house because there is a lot of love that the entire HFHWM organization gives everyday that makes the difference between the two.
My husband and I became regular 'build' volunteers in 2016 and love it! We have enjoyed learning about Habitat's mission and vision, working with staff and volunteers, and working alongside the families. We became crew leaders in a very short time and my knowledge of 'builds' increased 10-fold.
Personally, I have learned so much about everything from 'bricks and mortar' to the family selection process and their promise and commitment to put in required 'sweat equity'. The people that are involved in Habitat, from the staff through volunteers and families are incredibly committed to a great cause.
I have been a volunteer crew leader with Habitat for Humanity Williamson - Maury for 7years. I enjoy many aspects of home construction and know the work I do supports a great program and the families that live in these homes are truely great full for the work we have done. Additionally, I volunteered for a Habitat Chapter in Michigan for 2 years before moving to Williamson County.
The team at Habitat for Humanity Williamson-Maury is exceptional. They are a mission-driven, compassionate, smart group that thinks outside of the box and does so much good for so many. They are the type of people you want to work with, want to be friends with, and want to have in your community. I should add they are efficient, organized, and thoughtful. I feel fortunate to know them and their work and to support it.
I have consistently worked with Habitat for Humanity Williamson-Maury in countless projects, including build days, community projects, and partnerships. They are an incredible organization doing amazing work. My favorite project was our massive build day with over 100 volunteers across the city building on four houses together. It full of energy, passion, and fun!
Our company spent the day painting the interior and exterior of a new build in Columbia. Our Regional Manager flew in from Houston to join us and was overwhelmed with the kindness of the staff and dedication of the employees. What an incredible organization - the level kindness and professionalism of the employees makes the Williamson-Maury Habitat for Humanity a top nonprofit in our book! They are dedicated to self-development and growth so that the organization grows and becomes better each and every day. The HFHWM leadership team earnestly advocates for accessibility to low-cost housing among the decision and policy makers in their counties, and are well regarded as passionate professionals dedicated to enhancing their neighborhoods. The empathy they have for those who struggle to improve their living conditions is evident in the way they treat applicants and their tireless efforts to promote equitable housing access by providing a hand up, not a handout. Having worked on several builds and participated in multiple fundraising events, I can attest to the contagious enthusiasm each of the staff bring to their work!
Habitat for Humanity is a wonderful organization that Republic Bank has been blessed to partner with from sponsorships and donations to volunteering for events and project builds. They continue to fulfill the need for affordable housing in our area as well as educational classes and programs designed to assist families with homeownership. Their Hammers & High Heels event is spectacular, and I highly recommend attending!
Habitat for Humanity Williamson-Maury has been offering hope to local families for 30 years through safe, affordable shelter. The staff is dedicated and caring and go the extra mile to help those whom they are serving. They have built more than 300 homes and have provided much-needed repairs to homeowners in need. I received my habitat home 8 years ago. This organization was amazing with helping me become an homeowner. The budgeting classes and the first time homeowners classes help me so much and I continue to use the budgeting class. I was was a 30 year single mother and never thought I would have a safe and secure home for my son and I. The organization make the process so easy for me. I am so grateful for the organization and the staff for all they done for me and my son. I have still have relationships with the organization today and speak to them often about my appreciation and how they started a stepping stones for my career and my ability to provide for my son in the way that I didn’t think I would.
