It’s difficult to put into words how one person and a dog can change one’s life. I’m 74. I met Jennifer & Dexter from Starfleet a year ago and they opened up my world, helped me feel independent and safe.

My husband had recently died in a tragic accident & my emotional support dog died soon thereafter. I need oxygen 24/7 and I could not maintain good balance without my husband and my dog. I was frightened to leave the house. Then I met Jennifer and Dexter..

Dex lives with me and I feel blessed that he is part of me life. If I fall he automatically positions himself so I can lean on him to gain leverage. If I’m out of breath he pushes me into a posture than helps me breathe. Jennifer works tirelessly and patiently with Dex and me at home, in restaurants and stores, and along the streets in my downtown neighborhood. And soon Dex will be wearing a custom made saddle to carry my portable oxygen, the extra battery & water for both of us, taking 13 pounds off my shoulders
