Review for Operation Troop Appreciation, West Mifflin, PA, USA
Kristen Holloway and Operation Troop Appreciation supported my reconnaissance unit during the most violent period in Iraq 2006 - 2007. Because of OTA's generosity, my medics received lifesaving rescue hooks, my scouts and snipers received new tactical gloves when we needed them -- and after the Army said it would take 3 - 4 months to field us with that life saving equipment. Later, OTA served as a conduit for me to reach Ross Perot and other non-profit organizations that funded flights for a funeral detail for soldiers from Fort Lewis who wanted to lay a fallen brother to rest after he died of wounds suffered at Bethesda -- again, after the Army denied funding, though they later apologized for that decision.
OTA has touched my life and those of my soldiers so deeply I find it difficult to adequately articulate my appreciation. They have been a blessing. To me, OTA is a validation of the generosity of Americans; every day, they help Troops in harms way that they have never met -- they just know they are in need. They make me proud to be an American. In short, they are a wonderful organization.

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...
while I was an Infantry Platoon Leader in the American Army.
If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...
make it bigger! They are well managed and efficient. More resources should head their way.
