A Bright Spot is a phenomenal organization making a difference in lives one card and one stamp at a time. This small organization, under the direction of founder, Dee Dee Schrader, has made a simple, yet profound impact on the lives of thousands of lonely, sick, discouraged, or even forgotten celebratory moments (homeless to housed!). This is a rare volunteer opportunity for those of us with access issues; how simple it is to write a note of encouragement in a store-bought or homemade card to make someone else smile and make yourself smile at the same time. This non-profit deserves to be recognized and hopefully brought into the limelight to attract more volunteers and people needing encouragement.
