2 Corinthians 9:6-8 Says:
Each of you should give what you have decided in your heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.
I believe that this verse describes The Lord's Pantry of Downingtown. The volunteers there are always so cheerful and pleasant. They have a good assortment of food there as well as soap, toilet tissue, paper towels, laundry detergent, and the list goes on. I've noticed that if I say "no thank you for an item, they sometimes give it to me anyway, plus even more! Not only do they hand out food items, the have an Easter meal drive, a thanksgiving meal drive, a Christmas meal and gift certificate drive, sneaker gift certificates for the kids and the adults, a back to school book bag (filled with supplies), and i might be forgetting some things because they do so much. They also hand out information on other organizations that you can sign up for that you may have a need for. They never make me feel uncomfortable about needing a little help. That means a lot. They also handed out toys and such to my little niece from time to time. Oh, and they also give out clothing. Well, you get the picture. They are an awesome organization, and I am so glad that we get to benefit from their generosity. Thank you Lord's Pantry; Jan, Cindy, Kevin, and the entire group for all that you do, and all that you are. The bible says in Matthew 25:21 "His lord said unto him, well done, good and faithful servant; thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy lord. I believe you are included in that message. May the Lord bless and keep you.
