I would like to extend a big thank you to the Lincoln Center for their hard work getting local law enforcement training to Valley Township Police Department and surrounding departments. The staff at the Lincoln Center in particular Nicole Martin and Julie Knudsen have put in many hours of hard work and dedication preparing an in-depth training program for local police officers. The six-part Advanced De-Escalation and Trauma-Comprehension Training program that was designed by Ms. Martin and Ms. Knudsen is designed to provide police officers with the tools and methods to resolve conflicts by understanding the effects of trauma both short and long term.
