Review for Action In Community Through Service of Prince William County, Dumfries, VA, USA
I have volunteered at ACTS for a number of years mostly picking up donated food from various businesses and, during special food drives, from many of the schools in this area. No matter how much food we pick up there is never enough. The staff at ACTS goes out of its way to provide as much food as possible for those in need. Spending as much time as I do there I have also seen the thrift stores in action as well as the homeless shelter. Without ACTS there would be many more people out there going hungry and many others living outdoors. I am also aware of the other facilities run by ACTS and am amazed at how much good this organization does in this community.
