I was nominated to receive a break from cancer by my social worker at my oncologist office. It was a great surprise for my family. I'm a single parent of a 9 year old son. I was diagnosed at 42 with Triple Positive Invasive Ductal Carcinoma. it was devastating. My son was brave and thoughtful throughout and now that I'm
through the worst, it was amazing to celebrate all that we accomplished together. Along with my daughter who was my caregiver we are stronger than before.
