Review for Amgen Safety Net Foundation, Thousand Oaks, CA, USA
I think Amgen Safety Net Foundation is about as far from a nonprofit or a charity as you can get.
Their customer assistance phone number is an impossibly long wait . . . repeatedly over the last few weeeks. My sister-in-law who lives with us and subsists solely on Social Security is trying to get Otezla via the safety net and has not managed to do so. Her doctor faxed the requisite documents, then we were informed that my wife Kathleen and I needed to submit proof that OUR income did not exceed something on the order of $120,000 a year. It doesn,t . . . we get Social Security and I have a pension under $20K a year. This is about the most customer unfriendly outfit I've run into in my 77 year life. I see that Amgen expects to make billions off Otezla. You would think they could afford a few shekels for us customers. Also, I am not a "volunteer," we are dealing with Otezla as customers
