Then it's" we didn't get it" then it's" we have a team it will be a week or two" then it's " you make too much money" BS! They look at line 11 on your taxes which is interest on all my sons interest on college loans and interest on house ! You will never get your Embrel! They should be shut down! They lie!!

I have been waiting to get approved for Enbrel. Been dealing with ASNF for Five years. It's always difficult dealing with the financial counselors. They can't not provide correct information when I ask questions. Therefore they keep you going in circles. I turned in my application November 2024. CRICKETS until I called 01/13/2025. O' my goodness what is wrong with the people that claim they are the to help. Forget about asking for upper management. According to the counselors upper management DOES NOT EXIST.Heaven forbid that any of y'all ever have a crippling disease and need medication that makes your life functional. Zero compassion, proficiency in WORD SALAD with extra ranch. You people do not help people who can't afford pricey medications you create unnecessary stress. Just imagine if you wanted a drink of water and you can't get it. You get desperate you cry because you understand what's ahead without medicine. Shame on all of you. Greed supersedes all with ASNF

Amgen Safety Net Foundation has saved me thousands of dollars on Enbrel which I have needed to treat my RA. I'm so grateful to have found this organization which helps not just me, but many, many other patients with their program, especially seniors like me and even younger people who find it difficult to afford their medication. It's a wonderful program and there should be more like it.

As of this moment I've been on hold with Amgen Safety Net for over 45 minutes. A recording comes on once in a while saying they are experiencing a higher than normal volume of callers and my call will be answered in the order it was recieved, but no one answers the phone even after all this time on hold. I was supposed to receive an order of Enbrel yesterday and nothing has arrived yet. Honestly, this is ridiculous. How are you supposed to get hold of them to find out what happened to your order? I'm out of my medication.

I had no issues last year when I got my Enbrel. This year is different. Myself and my doctor have been trying to work with them to provide all of the information needed. Last year they needed an appeal for the first prior authorization denial. My insurance company will not cover specialty medications at all. They will not allow an appeal, we can appeal all we want, but they will subsequently cancel it because the message was clear the first time. Amgen customer service did
a conference call last year to obtain that exact information and I was approved that day. However, this time, they have a “team” that works on it. They keep closing me out as denied without calling the insurance company. We have been requesting that they contact my insurance for that information for over a month. Now I’m out of medication. My doctor said enough is enough and switched me to Humira. I work customer service myself, they’re very nice. Something is just messed up there somewhere. It’s impossible.

The first time I submitted my father's application was a breeze and the process couldn't have been smoother. However, this year (Apr2024) he had to reapply and it has been nothing short of a NIGHTMARE!?! The customer representatives are nice but EACH GIVE A COMPLETELY DIFFERENT ACCOUNT OF THE APPLICATION STATUS, which I assume are notes on the computer in his account. Again, this makes me wonder if they REALLY WANT TO HELP ANYONE OR IF THEY'RE TOLD TO KEEP THIS UP TILL PEOPLE GIVE UP... It's really sad..., I had such a wonderful experience last year (2023) and even recommended the AMGEN Safety Foundation to others, however, if this continues I will not be able to recommend to other senior citizens who are on fixed incomes and need the medication b/c of the hassle...

I have taken Otezla for several years with no problems through the Amgen Safety Net foundation. I have been very grateful for this foundation, since I could never afford the Otezla on my own. This year, however, something has changed,,,now they want a new prior authorization (which no one mentioned) along with the renewal forms. I have called repeatedly since late December to no avail. They said they tried contacting my doctor but got no answer...really ? No one called me to say there was a problem. I called again today and was given different information...I will be without my Otezla starting next week. All I get from the foundation is "thank you for calling, our counselors are available...blah, blah, blah" ! I am at my whit's end and am not sure where to turn. I will keep calling them and speaking to different people until someone can help...it never used to be this way !

I was a very satisfied patient with Amgen safety foundation. Always excellent service, no problems with the delivery of the medication. But now, forget it. I’m now 2 weeks without enbrel. The people that answer the phone are so inefficient and they lie. You can call same day, three different times and you will get 3 different answers to your questions. No one seems to know how to do their jobs. Where are they getting these people? Probably they they are getting minimum wage so they really don’t care and have zero compassion. I’m very stressed about this whole situation.

This is my second year going through Amgen to receive my Aimovig medication for chronic migraines. The first year, smooth sailing, it really gave me hope as the first year, there were no issues. This year? A totally different story. The wait time on hold is completely unacceptable, and it is EVERY DAY, no matter the time of day you call. Just to get an update on the status of an application, you have to wait on hold. They called me (automated system) after hours to let me know “additional information was needed for my application”, without saying what additional information was needed. It’s been almost 3 months and this is still in the works. This is just unreal in my opinion, and something definitely needs to change.

I think Amgen Safety Net Foundation is about as far from a nonprofit or a charity as you can get.
Their customer assistance phone number is an impossibly long wait . . . repeatedly over the last few weeeks. My sister-in-law who lives with us and subsists solely on Social Security is trying to get Otezla via the safety net and has not managed to do so. Her doctor faxed the requisite documents, then we were informed that my wife Kathleen and I needed to submit proof that OUR income did not exceed something on the order of $120,000 a year. It doesn,t . . . we get Social Security and I have a pension under $20K a year. This is about the most customer unfriendly outfit I've run into in my 77 year life. I see that Amgen expects to make billions off Otezla. You would think they could afford a few shekels for us customers. Also, I am not a "volunteer," we are dealing with Otezla as customers

No problems with the old non-profit the Amgen Corp used to use. Been on Otezla for 3 years and no problems until the "Safety Net Foundation". I am a Behcet;'s patient and Otezla is the only drug approved for my condition. I am now without the drug at all. Amgen has a serious issue with the "Safety Net Foundation". They wont even call you back when they keep saying they will. Time after time after time.

Very disappointed. The process of trying to get approved by Amgen Safety Net foundation caused so much added stress, overwhelm and tears that I had to give up and search for my heart medicine out of the country. My Dr's office faxed the rx 3 times and all 3 times, Amgen claims the faxes were never received. I supplied a PA denial stating that Medicare will not cover the drug for POTS as that indication is not in the compendia, only heart failure is covered. Yet, Amgen requires 2 more appeals of which the Dr cannot proceed with because the reason for denial was true and there is no new information to provide for another appeal. I explained this to 3 different Amgen Safety Net employees. Amgen likes putting the responsibility on the patient to provide information that has been repeatedly provided or information that cannot humanly be provided. They feign ignorance with the whole "we didn't receive the fax" excuse. Why aren't they reaching out to the Dr directly to see how they can help? Answer: They are not trying to help needy patients. Amgen appears to only want the tax write offs of helping some patients. What charity is known for stressing out patients needing heart medication? Answer: Amgen.

If I could give them a ZERO, I absolutely would. This is the worst company ever to have to work with to get assistance for my patients. Zero communication, every excuse in the book as to why they can't communicate, the program overall needs to be streamlined in some way. It's more of a hassle than actual assistance. Why do I have to keep calling in to find out you haven't processed or done anything on your end except sit on our paperwork? Why does it take so very long to do everything through this company? And this is supposed to be a safety net for whom?

This is not a safety net program. This is called your going to die by free fall program. I have been waiting for a response for Repatha for the the last six month. Each time I call they say they need a different document for my zero income. What a crock of s***. Save your time. Don't bother.

I have been trying to reorder my ENBREL for 2 weeks and cannot only get a recording that says they are having high call volume. I have been ordering from them for 5 years and never had a problem getting thru to them. Many times I was on hold for more than 30 minutes. Does anyone know what is happening?

My husband was prescribed Otezla for his plaque psoriasis, he was given a sample pack from his doctor. We then took the necessary steps to fill out a form for the safety net. What a nightmare, we thought we had everything in order and was then told we needed to get authorization from his insurance company. Which, makes no sense. The drug through our insurance company has co pay of over a thousand dollars a month. We live on a fixed income and no way could afford the co-pay. I called our insurance company, and did not understand. What a nightmare, the sample of otezla cleared up His psoriasis, but unfortunately is coming back again. WhT a nightmare. I thought these people were here to help. Not so.

I have always received excellent service for my Otezla prescription until October, 2022. My doctor’s office faxed the required renewal forms 3 times before AmGen finally agreed they had received them. The new approval for 2023 was granted quickly after that, but now in January when it’s time for a refill, the line for automatic refills says the prescription does not qualify for automatic refill. I’ve been calling their number for nearly a week and get a message that they are experiencing a high volume of calls and although I’ve waited for up to 20 minutes on hold, my calls have never been connected.

I have been trying to process my Enbrel for day now, as of Christmas 2022, and they do not answer the telephone stating that the phone lines are full, the "que" is too long, and excessive wait time. My doctor's office has been trying also. She was told that they have hired a "new third party" and are having problems. Are they out of business? They are not answering because they do not have anyone answering the phones, just the tape stating they are too full to answer. I need my meds and have been with them for 12 years and never had this problem. I would like to know if others are not getting through also?

My heart doctor faxed all the required forms to get my Repatha for me after a month of waiting they never called the heart doctor at all. So I called them to find out they said they only received the prescription and his page nothing else. So I downloaded the forms and faxed them again it shows all 7 pages went through. Only to find out when i called them a week later they are saying they never received anything what? Again how are you supposed to get help when they are not receiving the fax 3 months now without my Repatha? What am i suppose to do if i keep sending the forms but they are not getting them.

I have been prescribed Otezla and my insurance doesn't cover it so the doctor connected me with this program, which sent me a 3-month supply. You have to call them for the refill, but the problem is they can't seem to ship it. The first time I called them, their automated phone system routed me to their automated refill line and when I didn't receive it, I called back and was told it never shipped. So, the customer service rep sent it out again but I still didn't receive it and the third time I called, the second customer service rep said the order had been canceled and she had no idea why. I gave her a different address to ship to and I still didn't receive it. On the fourth call, the third customer service rep said it was sent to the address I had tried to have them ship it to the first two times. The Amgen Safety Net program is incompetent.

I have watched my husband cry, because of all the pain in his body. Your company withheld his medicine. Trying to talk to the associates was a nightmare. PLEASE I BEG for Amgen to listen to his phone calls begging for help. No results. Why does Amgen escalate the patients, while trying to get life saving medicine? Amgen does not care about quality of life.

Need help?
