I adopted my sweet cat, Taylor, from King Street Cats about a year ago. I filled out the application online explaining what I was looking for, my background, etc. and they set up a meeting for me. I didn't even "meet" other cats at that time as I felt it was a great match (and it was). You can also visit on weekends with no appointment and take your time with all the cats in the room. Volunteers are available to answer questions. What makes this place unique is that socialized cats are free in the room so you can see their interactions, play with them, pet them, etc. I was so impressed with this place that I became a volunteer myself! Now, I help other cats find their forever homes. I love meeting all of the sweet, cute little kittens, but the truly rewarding ones are the cats that didn't get a fair shake before (age, FIV, shyness). KSC sets them up for success and many have found loving "parents."
