As the wife of a large animal veterinarian, I have seen how Habitat for Horses cares for their animals and the compassion they have in caring for them. They seek medical attention for any of their rescues when needed and they follow veterinarian instructions on treating each case. The donations that they receive are well spent on taking care of their rescues.
Their knowledge of the laws pertaining to rescuing abused and neglected horses far exceeds any other rescues we’ve been involved with. They have been there for us and stood next to us in court when we have needed their advice on any of these issues
They have a true mission of rescuing, rehabilitating and adopting out every animal (when possible) that comes to them.
