Review for National Brussels Griffon Rescue Incorporated, Dallas, TX, USA

Rating: 5 stars

I have been involved with the National Brussels Rescue since early 2014. I have fostered for them and also adopted 3 dogs from them over the years. They are such a wonderful rescue and do what ever needs doing for dogs that come into their program. I can tell you from personal experience that this is one of the best rescues out there! I hope to be involved with them for many more years to come! Here is a picture of myself with my NBGR Paws of Winter foster Moe, and a picture of him snuggling with his forever Mama who adopted him back in 2014 and had to surrender him back in August of this year (2023) due to some major life changes. I fostered Moe for 7 months back in 2014. NBGR found him an amazing home with an older couple, it was such a perfect fit! He was 8 years old then and we didn’t know he would live this long. So here we are, 9 years later and sadly there was a death in his forever family and his remaining owner started having health issues so he came back to stay with me and will be here for the rest of his life through the Paws of Winter program that the NBGR thankfully does. It’s a program where dogs that are too old to adopt out or have medical issues which may hamper finding them an forever home get to stay forever with a foster family and NBGR pays for all the expenses of that dog. It has worked out so well for Moe and his adopter because his mama loves him so much and hated to surrender him back to NBGR, but since I have him now and live close by, we go and visit her often so she can still get her snuggles and kisses from Moe on a regular basis ! Thanks to National Brussels Rescue for helping me to keep Moe for his twilight time. I didn’t think he would ever come back here but he has lived such a long life he surprised us all! This has been such a rewarding experience for me and shows the compassion NBGR not only has for the dogs, but for the people who adopt them as well… xoxo
