I started volunteering at the UCSPCA almost a year ago and it has made a tremendous impact on my life and my thoughts on animal welfare. This organization is a lifeline for the animals in their care as well as the community by providing necessary resources like spay/neuter clinics, rabies vaccinations, and hosting a community food pantry for local animals to help their families afford to keep them at home and out of the shelter. I am deeply impressed by the lengths that the staff and volunteers go to provide the love and care these animals need while they wait to go to their forever homes. The teamwork seen within the building rallies me to step up and learn more about how I as a volunteer and a member of the community can help their cause. I even adopted two cats from them this passed year and am incredibly grateful that the UCSPCA supported them and connected me to them.
