Review for Primate Rescue Center, Nicholasville, KY, USA

Rating: 5 stars

The decision to support a nonprofit organization (NPO) sometimes requires a disconcerting leap of faith. Will my financial contribution be utilized efficiently in support of the organization’s mission? Does the team consist of conscientious, capable individuals? Is the conduct of leadership consistently aligned with the organizations core values? And, finally, is the governance emotionally intelligent, dependable, and prudent? Happily, these crucial elements of a successful NPO are in present in abundance at Primate Rescue Center (PRC).

Not since my years as a physician-trainee at Johns Hopkins Hospital have I been a part of an organization where enthusiasm, ingenuity, and attention to detail are so completely engrained in the culture. It is an inspiration and a privilege to work alongside these clever and resourceful people who naturally radiate their passion for PRC’s mission. Eileen Dallaire provides calm, consistent, and thoughtful leadership to the half-dozen devoted Caregivers on staff. Volunteers (like me) are vetted and trained by Melanie Parker and the Caregivers to assure a safe, meaningful experience for those who contribute their time and talents to this worthy cause.

In short, the team at PRC has earned my very highest respect and admiration. Whether providing “hands-on” volunteer service or through financial contribution, I always feel a sense of emotional fulfillment and personal satisfaction that my gifts are maximized in the pursuit of a necessary and laudable goal.
