Review for United States Exercise Tiger Foundation, Columbia, MO, USA
D Day, EXERCISE TIGER DAY IN MISSOURI, Now JUNETEENTH Black Veterans Honors Tribute on June 19th at the Boone County Courthouse Memorial Plaza in Columbia Mo. The USTF Veterans Foundation does it all. They are among the only organizations that continue to honor Pearl Harbor Day, D Day, April 28, ( Battle of Exercise Tiger, LST Convoy Taffy 4 attack by German Navy E Boats) and NOW, The 2nd Annual Black Veterans Honors Tribute on June 19th. Featuring the Sgt James Shipley Valor Medals To the Black Veterans. Named after former original Tuskegee Airman and "RED TAIL" Crew Chief James Shipley, who also was a USTF board member. If you want to donate, donate to these folks, they don't just talk, they do the walk!! They could do more with a bigger donor or sponsor. In August they have their Operation SGT Rosie's Lifejackets For Vets and Pets at Coopers Landing Resort on the Missouri River. They not only honor vets, they save them as well. Over 300 lifejackets have been given out over past 4 summers, and 33 Dog Lifejackets too! This June 22 the World Premiere of Zzaslow K -427 a film about the hero K9 of Afghanistan debuts at the famous Chinese Theatre in Hollywood California. The USTF has provided special medals and Commemorative certs for the Directors and Producers to give to their supporters. The USTF honored K9 Zzaslow and handler SPC Juan Colon-Estrada in 2015 for their combat actions in Afghanistan and again this past D Day June 6th 2025 with the K9 Medal of Honor. I can't say enough of what they do. Oh Thier a 501 c (19) Charity, JUST LIKE the VFW, American Legion, DAV, and others, that's like a c (3) on steroids. You can't just be one....These guys are great, Susan Haines USTF National Director is an exceptional leader and she and top leadership hold certification in Non Profit organization. 5 Stars aren't enough, I say 10 Stars!!!

They just gave out 300 blankets and MREs packs to both shelters and homeless in Mid Mo. They were on KOMU TV. They did a great job for a good cause. They just did this on February 9th I think. They do a lot more than just honor Vets, they help them and the community. Feb 2024.

The United States Exercise Tiger Foundation is a highly regarded NGO by all military branches and elected officials. THIS is the non profit that is recognized by the Secretary of The Navy as the annual National Commemoration Foundation that honors the "Battle of Exercise Tiger" each year on April 28. They have done this for some 30 plus years now. They also do great things for Missouri veterans and community like thier Operation Sgt Rosie's Lifejackets for Vets and Pets ( over 300 lifejackets given got vets in 3 years) Their Blankets for Vets got some 200 blankets donated and given to area homeless shelters as well as veterans who called for them. They also have a free pet food program and give out 1000lbs or more annually free of course to vets and community.
From TV news coverage, Sgt Rosie looks on as vets and officials give veterans free lifejackets.SGT Rosie gets US Army Award Citation from 94th K9 Detachment from Ft Leonard Wood Mo. For her Distinguished Actions supporting veterans and their Pets. When I saw SGT Rosie in the Mid Missouri newspaper, The Missourian, and her asking to donate blankets, I melted. And of course donated new blankets for her and the USTFs blanket drive last winter.
They are a credible and recognized charity. I highly endorse them.
