Review for C A T T A L E S, Mead, WA, USA
Since our retirement two years ago my wife and I sought to participate/volunteer at a quality non-profit. Cat Tales in Mead, Washington, is a 30+ year old organization dedicated to providing forever homes to elderly, infirmed, or otherwise non-releasable animals, most of which are large cats such as tigers and pumas. At our first visit in early winter it was abundantly clear that the animals were very well cared for given the condition of the animal residents, the attention provided by their human attendants, and the thoroughness of answers to our questions. We "adopted" a marvelous lion and began volunteer work that first day. Since then our initial impressions continue to be reinforced and expanded now that we see the admirable level of work provided on a daily basis. Please consider financial and/or volunteer support of this organization as we continue to do. Cat Tales is a genuinely worthwhile group and represents the only local zoological facility in our area where grandchildren can see and learn about such amazing animals.
