Six Degrees was fantastic to work with. Six Degrees assembled backpacks for our LGBTQ+ youth who are unstably housed and experiencing homelessness in Washington DC. To say these backpacks were the perfect way to support individuals living outside is an understatement. Each item was thoughtfully curated and included with the exclusive purpose to support LGBTQ+ youth who are experiencing homelessness. Often times when supplies are distributed to the most marginalized populations they are leftovers, afterthoughts, or aren't truly intentional in meeting the actual needs of who we serve. Six Degrees did their research! The backpacks were durable and will serve as a way to support LGBTQ+ youth who are unstably housed keep their belongs with them and safe. The items packed in the backpacks are usually not included in these types of kits (razors, deodorant, a pair of Bombas socks, water bottle, and wipes to clean off with)! Thank you Six Degrees for your incredible work and contribution to LGBTQ+ youth and look forward to partnering in the future!
