I am the adoption facilitator and recruitment specialist in Sarasota, Manatee, and DeSoto Counties (Florida). I have been honored to work with the Florida Selfless Love staff this past year. They gave us a grant to help with recruiting adoptive families for our harder to place children, and allowed me to be relieved of a few responsibilities that could be contracted. Therefore, I was able to spend more time on active recruitment. The staff (especially Emma and Melissa) "get it", they understand the child welfare system and the trauma many children suffer. They are so pleasant to work with and understanding of our needs. It is a partnership that I hope continues for many years to come!
