I’ve had the privilege of supporting the Selfless Love Foundation for three years, and I am deeply proud of the work they do. The agency I work for receives funding assistance from the Selfless Love Foundation and their amazing donors. We have been able to complete and approve more Adoptive Families with their assistance than in the years prior. We have more families committed to adoption of siblings, teenagers and difficult to place (as defined by DCF). We love working with the Selfless Love Adoption Staff and our families also report positive interactions. With no identified child, we struggle to find resources, information, and to make contact with the right people. Selfless Love has given us the confidence to reach out and to follow up. Proud to be a member of the SLF team. The opportunity to work alongside youth from the foster care system and assist them in advocating for change has been an honor. We are able to continue doing the good work through members of the community that continue to support efforts to improve outcomes in adoptions, housing and Independent Living programming throughout the state of Florida. True change comes when the community becomes part of the solution and I see that happening through the work SLF has done and am excited to see what the future holds!

I am the adoption facilitator and recruitment specialist in Sarasota, Manatee, and DeSoto Counties (Florida). I have been honored to work with the Florida Selfless Love staff this past year. They gave us a grant to help with recruiting adoptive families for our harder to place children, and allowed me to be relieved of a few responsibilities that could be contracted. Therefore, I was able to spend more time on active recruitment. The staff (especially Emma and Melissa) "get it", they understand the child welfare system and the trauma many children suffer. They are so pleasant to work with and understanding of our needs. It is a partnership that I hope continues for many years to come!

2022 was my first year with this amazing foundation and I can’t wait for next year

As a former foster youth I cannot begin to express how impactful the Selfless Love Foundation has been to my life. Through their dedication to me I am able to live a life worth fighting for. Also, their support of the youth engagement initiative called One Voice IMPAACT and partnership with Dale Carnegie's Leadership Training Program enabled the significant improvement in my confidence as a young leader. I will forever be grateful for God putting the Selfless Love Foundation on my path.

I have had such an amazing experience witnessing first hand all of the incredible things SLF is doing to change the lives of foster youth and their forever families. SLF has made such a visible impact in the community in such a short amount of time. I had the pleasure of volunteering for the first time this year and it has completely changed my views on the foster care system. Selfless love is amazing! Everyone is so passionate about their mission and it is really inspiring and moving to see.

Selfless Love facilitates the "One Voice Impaact which is a Youth Voice Movement" that supports the development of youth council across the state. These councils are established to help amplify youth voice of their experience in foster care and to help impact positive change within the foster care system and particularly transition aged youth 16-23. Selfless Love offers monthly meetings, committees and workshops where youth can network with other youth, young adults, professionals, and decision makers working within the child welfare system . They also provide experiential opportunities where youth can turn life skills knowledge into practically application. Selfless Love and One Voice Impaact promotes
a mutually respectful partnership between the youth and professional.

Selfless Love Foundation hosted its Fourth Annual Gala at the Eau Palm Beach Resort & Spa in Manalapan. I had the opportunity to volunteer at this event, which incredibly raised more than $3 million. The event featured a beautiful cocktail reception, dinner and a Live Auction with luxurious items and packages.

Having worked in law enforcement for the last 15 years, I know far too well the number of vulnerable and disenfranchised children that make up Florida’s foster care system. It is refreshing to see a non-profit organization that is dedicated and that truly cares about Florida’s children in providing them with a forever family and assistance to transition these children to become successful young adults in life.

I will continue to volunteer with the Selfless Love Foundation because of the amazing work they are doing to support our children in Florida.

My husband and I were introduced to the Selfless Love Foundation in 2018 by a close family friend. We realized very quickly that Florida’s foster care system required much needed changes. These children needed activism and a voice! Selfless Love Foundation is that voice and the fruits of our donation are evident in the Incredible work they do and the lives they have changed! This foundation is doing an incredible mission helping to find a forever family for children in Florida I have seen the tirelessly work and dedication in each project, Selfless Love Fundation your light is leading the way for all this children and families.

A few years ago, Ed and Ashely introduced our firm to this wonderful organization of helping today’s foster kids. As we were all blind to what happens to these teenagers when they age out of the foster care system, their efforts have raise the bar on extending helping hands to these abandon teens. This organizations helps teach life skills, provide housing, and the much needed emotional support to have that chance for a better life. Raising awareness is key and we are so proud to help in the process.
