Review for Sister-Corps, Houston, TX, USA
"Many volunteer groups had worked with me and 'Did what they could,' and I am grateful for them, however they saw the limit in my progress. When Sister-Corps first visited me I was in a very dark space in my life, giving up hope for recovery after the devestation of Hurricane Ian... My home is my RV, and an old one at that, covered in mold inside and out. My Hippie Houseboat on Wheels wasn't winning any beauty awards nor any faith with any one... Sister-Corps never spoke of doom, nor never. All I heard was that they DO and CAN and they LOVE. And I began to smile a little. Sister-Corps lifted my life up physically and emotionally and kept on lifting and built a stable, practical, safe area for me to live while I repair my roof-- comfortably! They stayed longer than planned in order to get the job done. Away from their families, away from the comforts of their own homes, using their own vehicles, their own time, their own gas, other expenses... It goes on, and so did they- above and beyond what any thing could be asked of any person. Two months later and there's STILL tears of gratitude in my eyes as I write this testimony to the effectiveness and competency of Sister-Corps Call of Duty. If this were a plea for coworkers I'd be petitioning for a raise for each one of these Ladies.
The weather across the country has obviously changed, given way to more frequent, stronger, more devastating disasters. Please bare this in mind when considering your donation to this more than worthy team of volunteers who absolutely make a HUGE difference in those whose lives they touch- You can feel the power Sister-Corps holds
