I decided I wanted to adopt a cockatiel in early May, but didn't know a thing about them or their care. I did some research and found "For The Love of Birds" and decided I would like to adopt the bird through this organization. From the beginning FTLOB walked me through the process to ensure that I found the right bird for my family. Joanne helped me create a safe space in my home and provided the education necessary for me to make informed decisions about the care of the bird. Once approved, she kept me updated on status of my application and the potential candidates that would be a good fit for my family. At the end of June, I was able to meet Taco and bring him home! I love him so much! I was given all of the supplies needed and paid a nominal adoption fee. I also received the assurance that if I needed any help or had questions, I could reach out to Joanne and the organization for support. I send Taco's original owner pics to put her mind at ease that her boy who needed to be rehomed was happy and being taken care of. I cannot recommend this organization enough for anyone looking to adopt or rehome a bird. They care about all parties involved and demonstrate this through their thorough and professional organization.
