Amazon Watch is formidable in its work with, and advocacy and fundraising for, the great Indigenous leaders and their peoples, who are struggling for our as well as their survival, with unbelievable resilience. To work with an oppressed people facing heartbreak, betrayal and violence demands a rare humility, dedication and tenacity, and Amazon Watch’s elevating of women Indigenous Earth Defenders is a visionary contribution to our common struggle for survival.
