I really value Amazon Watch for its Frontline commitment in a dangerous but essential area, it's centering of indigenous women and sensitive relationship with supporters like myself, a pensioner in the far off UK. I'm made to feel part of the struggle and am invited, not pestered, to contribute at key times.I also admire their tenacity in such a drawn out and violent situation.

We are a startup enterprise from Switzerland and we like to donate 5% of our sales revenue to amazonwatch.org and here is why:

As part of our social responsibility, we like to donate 5% of our sales to amazonwatch.org. We chose this organization because it works exclusively for the conservation of the Amazon, taking into account the flora, fauna and the indigenous population. We think that in general too little is being done in this regard and we see the importance of preserving this region from an ecological as well as a humanitarian point of view. Amazonwatch.org is active on many fronts and deserves our support in the fight against the destruction of a natural environment that is vital not only to indigenous people but to the world at large.

I feel so grateful to Amazon Watch for all the important work they do to protect our planet by protecting the amazon rainforest and the beautiful indigineous people who live there in balance and harmony with nature - the way it should be. Their work is not easy and they make a huge positive difference to so many people. Their work is really important because no one else is doing it and with the way the world is going - it's vital that we look after the rainforest for the sake of everyone on this planet.

I am really heartened by the work Amazon Watch is doing, and by donating to them each month I feel like I’m making a difference in the world. The health of the Amazon Rain Forest is critical to reducing ever more devastating effects of climate change in that, like a sponge, it can absorb and offset great amounts of CO2. Amazon Watch’s work with Indigenous communities is promoting meaningful change. Its focus on those who call it home and have been stewards of their environment for thousands of years, is most effective. Amazon Watch recognizes and nurtures the creativity and determination of all, but specifically
women, and empowers them as they set their own goals for their communities and their land.

SO grateful to be community collaborators with Amazon Watch. We have supported and celebrated their work for years at Soltara Healing Center, and are truly inspired by their approach to help save the Amazon, its plant and animal beings, and its Indigenous Stewards, by working directly in solidarity with Indigenous peoples. They are taking the best approach possible in this work and knowing some of their team personally, I know their hearts and minds are truly in the right place, along with their organization as a whole. A sincere THANK YOU for their work saving planet and people. Could not recommend donating to this non-profit more.

With most of the world in the grip of a vast collective fantasy that life can go on as normal as our climate disintegrates, it is inspiring to find an organisation that goes straight to the most crucial problem, for the Amazon is the heart, the essential pump of Earth’s water circulation system. Amazon Watch is formidable in its work with, and advocacy and fundraising for, the great Indigenous leaders and their peoples, who are struggling for our as well as their survival, with unbelievable resilience. To work with an oppressed people facing heartbreak, betrayal and violence demands a rare humility, dedication and tenacity, and Amazon Watch’s elevating of women Indigenous Earth Defenders is a visionary contribution to our common struggle for survival.

As a student who was taking an initiative in CSR, I wanted to reach out to a non profit organization who works towards the preservation of our rainforests. Upon my search I stumbled upon Amazon Watch and was amazed at how they embed various teachings from Indigenous communities in efforts to protect their rights, all with with their ultimate goal to protect the Amazon. Their website was easy to navigate and I enjoyed communicating with their development and partnership specialist. They were willing to work with me as a student overseas to help spread their mission. Here in Canada, we value the rights of Indigenous peoples and the preservation of the environment. We received a lot of positive feedback from those who had looked into Amazon Watch and have had a successful lookout!

I will definitely be partnering up with them again next year if the chance arises as from experience I am happy to say that the team at Amazon Watch is a positive, hardworking and a unified one. The work that this non profit does helps towards leaving a bright future for generations ahead, by partnering with them I have become more aware of the importance of different matters such as the reduction of biodiversity and the importance of taking appropriate measures to ensure that we treat the land that provides so much for us with honour and respect.

I highly suggest taking a look at their website and donating to them to support such a wonderful cause!!

Indigenous and other folks who treasure the Amazon region have relatively little formal political power. But their love of their land, their culture, and for human rights is amplified and shared by Amazon Watch with a larger, sometimes more politically powerful group of supporters.
We truly value the info and inspiration shared by Amazon Watch.

The case for Amazon Watch is imperative for the survival of Indigenous people and their world . Through you, and Survival, i feel a connection to isolated threatened groups and am able to do something small, along with others around the world, to make a difference. Amazon Watch has proved this can happen. Hooray !!. I write many Amnesty International urgent action letters and as secretary of my local group mention Amazon Watch, i enjoyed relating the Equador success as my recent Amnesty U A letter was discussed and signed by members. Last weekend we collected over a 100 signatures on our petition demanding the Brazilian government put laws in place to protect Amazon people their environment and human rights defenders . Amazon Watch are up there providing incredible resources for HR organisations and "activists " like me .

The Amazon forest is the most important lung of the world and that should be enough reason for its protection. The native indigenous peoples of the region have protected the Amazon and thrived in it. It is imperative that all of us do as much as we can to protect both, the Amazon forest as well as it’s native people.

My boyfriend and I have travelled in Colombia, Ecuador and Peru and have experienced the rich, irreplaceable indigenous cultures and communities living across those lands - so many of whom are threatened by international corporations who seek to extract resources from their land, and throw them aside. Living in the U.S., we have a deep responsibility to the Indigenous communities, cultures and ecosystems across the world that we impact through the products and resources we consume, and the global economy that ties us together, often by unknowingly funding dark corporate destruction for profit. Even though I can't give much, I just became an Amazon Watch monthly donor because after examining their annual report and reading the continual actions they are supporting, I feel they are the best conduit for an American to directly support Indigenous communities fighting to preserve their rights to land, culture and sustainable economies, and pushing back against violent, mercenary corporations.
They have staff in multiple countries supporting Indigenous communities. It is an uphill battle but it is powerful coalition work and we must support this positive work for the world we want to see.
Also, they educate me on how my personal choices are linked to these values. I can make better actions and choices to support these values. Example: I was shocked to learn that as a Californian, our state receives 50% of the crude oil extracted from the Amazon each year - so we are deeply responsible for stopping that extraction and shifting to environmentally sustainable energy sources.

I have been researching directly in or about the Amazon region since 1976. I have worked with several NGOs whose work focusses on indigenous peoples and the corporate destruction of the the Amazon Rainforest. Especially, the Yanomami people of Roraima and Amazonas State, and the indigenous people of the Northwest Amazon on the border with Venezuela. I got to know of Amazon Watch through their constant international campaigns to protect the forest and the indigenous peoples, whether in Ecuador or elsewhere. I have followed their work and consider it to be impeccable, reliable and of top quality. I highly recommend the organization.

Kindness, professionalism, enthusiasm, and transparency have comprised my personal experience with Amazon Watch since our very first interaction. I am a donor through artwork. The fifth ornament (Five Golden Rings) in a series that benefits various organizations is dedicated to Amazon Watch. The ornaments are handcrafted as well as made of all-natural materials and are available at: shop.ateliersisk.com. It’s lovely that multiple creative businesses and artists are committed and valued supporters of Amazon Watch. The vital, courageous work of Amazon Watch in respectful support of Indigenous-led solutions in the Amazon has been and is a gift to our shared global home. Thank you!

I love to share my feelings ant thoughts why I am donating to Amazon Watch - even if it is only a very small amount. I consider the indigenous people living on the Earth the only people, who have understood, what this life is about: a respectful loving connected life WITH Mother Earth and all beings. The western societies live the illusion of progress while they have been departed themselves from themselves and life and Mother Earth more and more. We see the results. For me is, what the Amazon Watch does, one of the most important things in our time: to support those, who stand up for LIFE. For the LIFE of all of us and all beings in trying to save the most beautiful and important nature and culture of this world. To save the Planet. I am very greatful and feel honored to be able to do at least something.
And I like the transparency of Amazon Watch, the way they put out the information. And that I get the feeling to be in personal contact. I feel deeply connected. Silka

Everything that I have seen them do benefits both the Indigenous people on the ground in the Amazon and also all of humanity. They are professional and, from all that I have seen, trustworthy and transparent. I support various nonprofits, and Amazon Watch remains at the top of my list. I'd give 6 stars if I could.
