Along with the Institute for Justice, these guys are doing what I would do myself if I was rich and had the time. I've watched over the years as they ran interference for ALL OF US as they battle outrageous property rights violations and regulatory overstepping. I make it a point to donate at least yearly

We all like to grumble and complain when we see injustices and abuses of power leveled at all levels government, often at folks that seem the least able to fight back. We shake our heads at the constant overstepping government actors from zoning departments to out of control federal regulators and ask ourselves just exactly what can we do to help throw a pan of water on the out of control tyrants that seem to respond only to courts orders. To this end I am glad I have found the Institute for Justice and their office stacked with lawyers that are engaged in the work we would all do if we were rich and had the time. Importantly, they are efficient with the donations, keep me informed about their regular successes and on the progress of the case as they wind their way along. I love their regular memo's about a recent courtroom victory and it warms my heart to know I had a hand in the slapping down of a bully. They are one of few that gets my attention and it's my pleasure to support them as often and as generously as I'm able. If you like to punch back these are your guys.
