I have made quilts for two years now. I feel honored to do this for these young adults. Before I retired, I worked as a clinical social worker - one who placed children into foster care when necessary. I remember the trash bags of clothes and belongings, and I remember how unprepared most teens were when they “aged out”. I am so happy that efforts now extend to these teens, getting them actually ready to be out on their own. Making a quilt for a teen is the least that I can do, and one small step to saying these teens/ young adults matter
