When I heard about what they wanted to do - I was all in! I fostered delinquent teenage boys for a year. Fortunately they were part of a rehabilitation program to overcome situations and improve family ties. Being a mentor family was part of that process. My daughter also became a foster parent. I have been aware of teens that age out of the foster system and their challenges, and have wished that I was able to do more. Providing a quilt was a small act of service - to let a teen know that someone cares and loves them - where ever they go in life. 💕
