I have not adopted from them, but until 6-1/2 weeks ago when my dog died from a stroke and ruptured spleen, I didn’t need to. I have been looking at their dogs since then. I also have volunteered for Animal Humane New Mexico for the past 10+ years, and have referred prospective adopters to Lap Dog many times when they were looking for a small dog and all we had were big ones. Lap Dog is a great rescue organization and I wouldn’t hesitate to adopt from them if I found just the right dog for me there.
