Comics Appreciation Project is a worthy endeavor to especially reach children in stressful situations. The cultivation for the enjoyment found in reading also has long term rewards. It also improves necessary reading skills and imagination.
I remember taking my son each week to a comic book store. That was our special time to share an adventure. His excitement of getting a comic and sharing the story with me brings precious memories. As an English teacher I was thrilled to see the enjoyment of reading grow in my son.
I am so proud of my son, Jason Kelley, recognizing a need in children in various crisis situations and then providing a tool which offers some positive help on several levels.
I highly recommend Comics Appreciation Project.
