I’ve known the director since high school and you’d be hard pressed to find someone more passionate about helping people and sharing his love of comics and graphic novels.
When CAP ran the comics creator classroom in my hometown, he sourced Spanish language Dogman books for the ESL students in class so they could read at home with their families.
CAP is going the extra mile everytime to make sure these underserved kids, no matter their background.
Continuing to support Comics Appreciation Project is an easy decision to make.

My first foray into comics is ver similar to Comics Appreciation Project founder Jason Kelley. It was an early issue of GI Joe Special Missions circa 1985. My dad was in the military so I naturally gravitated to the series and I was hooked from the very first page. I was already heavy read but comics added another deeper dimension to my love of reading. Fast forward to high school where Jason and I met and have been friends since. His love for comics is infectious an through him I was introduced to more titles, artists and genres. He was even part of my first exposure to comics as an industry.

When I learned that he had started a non-profit to promote the medium I was immediately in. The mission of CAP is perfect for time when people need heroes with deep and nuanced stories told in a way that resonates with kids and adults. Jason operates with a high level of integrity so becoming a donor to the organization was a no brainer.
