None that I have encountered provide for the relatively small but significant needs that so impact a child's self-worth, and in the process make sure the child does not feel they are receiving charity. As a retired teacher/social worker, I am very familiar with resources for needy children, but none that provide the relatively small but important things that mean so much to a child's joy and self-esteem. These provisions do not come as charity, but enable parents to become the provider. Any donor can feel confident that their money is wisely spent, and in so many ways actually becomes life changing.
