Review for United Way Of Central Jersey Inc, Milltown, NJ, USA
I am thankful that I was able to file my taxes through United Way. My only issue was with the person answering to make the appointments for clients. Many of us who came to file did not know we needed copies of the materials and what types of documents we needed to have. This caused a problem trying to make copies and having to submit documents needed to file the tax. The tax agent was very kind even though it was a confusion between the secretary of the Piscataway nursing Home and the volunteer who were supposed to be there to help clients. The secretary was very confused and were giving the wrong info to Clint’s about the time and process. United Way should have someone there from its own office to service and answer clients questions. Also it was a back and forth with Charmaine trying to reach me and me trying to reach her. When I called I am transferred to the line. Once again there is not a person from the tax department or knowledgeable about tax filing answering the phone. When I asked her what documents I needed she wasn’t sure. Even though she was the one making appointments for clients. United need to revamp customer service. Also many clients either left upset because they made an appointment but had to wait so long to file the paperwork. During the time I files in February there was only one volunteer there servicing the clients. On another note, appreciated being able to file my tax without charge and I appreciated the service I received, except for what I mentioned above.
