Review for International Stillbirth Alliance Nfp, Millburn, NJ, USA
I am a nurse, researcher and clinician and have been working in the field of perinatal bereavement for over 34 years, in Quebec, Canada. I joined ISA five years ago and am impressed by the pioneer and advocacy work this association has moved forward, fueled by the energy and passion of its numerous volunteers. ISA brings together parents, clinicians and researchers from across the world, with a common aim of reducing stillbirths and improving care. Over the next few years, one aim is to improve perinatal education for all health care and social professionals around the world. Improving health care professionals' skills and knowledge will enhance their satisfaction with their work, prevent burnout and, most of all, improve care for all bereaved families. Supporting ISA means supporting global concrete actions so that no parent need to live the death of their child alone.
