I have been attending ISA's global conferences for many years. As a nurse, nursing professor and perinatal nurse navigator, I have dedicated the last 15 years of my practice to caring for bereaved families who have had a stillbirth. I have never before been part of an organization that focuses on a global mission. ISA cares about families who experience a stillbirth in all parts of the world. They do not just focus on high income countries, but desire to make an impact in stillbirth prevention and bereavement care in those countries with the highest burden of stillbirth, many occuring in low income countries.

I have also been impressed with how ISA welcomes parents. Researchers, health care providers, and stillbirth parents together, run this organization. ISA welcomes all. This organization is led by committed volunteers who give hours of their time to continue this very important work.

This year is the 20th year since the ISA's inception. Over the last many years, the ISA has been networking at global and local levels for stillbirths to be part of the newborn health conversations. Along with the many partners and supporters, the journey has been long but impactful as stillbirths are much more visible in the global agenda now than ever before. With like-minded organizations, we have been instrumental in raising the platform for inclusion of the voices of bereaved parents within the policy, program and health system settings. Do check out our work at the upcoming IMNHC conference in Cape Town in May 2023 where we showcase ISA's impact. As we celebrate 20 years of existence, we are going beyond improving recognition of stillbirths to align ourselves to address the current gaps in knowledge or services for stillbirth prevention, and expand our reach to support parents bereaved by death of a liveborn as well. We, at ISA, will continue to strive to make a meaningful difference and continue to learn on the way.

The ISA is a fantastic organization. They are dedicated to not only research and education but also families who have lost babies. They value all voices and tackle the issue of global stillbirth from multiple angles and perspectives. The people involved with this organization are professional and tireless in their efforts to educate and advocate for change. I highly recommend joining or simply following the activities of the ISA.

It is the only global movement I know that is making stillbirth relevant and visible. It is helping families to talk about their experiences without any fear of stigmatization. It has brought together people who are committed to see that stillbirth prevention and care for families become part of health care delivery. They are doing a lot to understand stillbirth so that they can contribute to stillbirth prevention. They are one NfP that works with parents on the same platform. I recommend that individuals and organizations support them in this great work that they are doing.

I am a nurse, researcher and clinician and have been working in the field of perinatal bereavement for over 34 years, in Quebec, Canada. I joined ISA five years ago and am impressed by the pioneer and advocacy work this association has moved forward, fueled by the energy and passion of its numerous volunteers. ISA brings together parents, clinicians and researchers from across the world, with a common aim of reducing stillbirths and improving care. Over the next few years, one aim is to improve perinatal education for all health care and social professionals around the world. Improving health care professionals' skills and knowledge will enhance their satisfaction with their work, prevent burnout and, most of all, improve care for all bereaved families. Supporting ISA means supporting global concrete actions so that no parent need to live the death of their child alone.

CiaoLapo is an Italian non-profit association that supports families who have lost a child during pregnancy or after birth. We offer psychological counseling, legal advice, medical information, and emotional assistance to parents suffering from stillbirth and other types of perinatal loss. We also organize training courses for health professionals, research projects on perinatal health, and awareness campaigns on pregnancy loss. Our mission is to help families cope with grief and find hope for the future.

CiaoLapo has been part of International Stillbirth Alliance since 2007 and we strongly support ISA's activities in reducing the global burden of stillbirth and in promoting advocacy. ISA is a one-of-a-kind organization that brings together parents, clinicians, researchers, and policy makers from all over the world. In particular, parents are strongly involved in every aspect of ISA’s work and their representation in directing board is always significant.

I am a nurse and midwife from Ireland who joined ISA in 2012. ISA a unique organisation where parents, clinicians, researchers, and policy makers can come together from across the globe to listen and learn from one another. Parents sit on the Board and contribute to every level of the work of ISA, it is a real partnership organistaion. Together we all work tirelessly to reduce the incidence of stillbirth annually across the world and to improve bereavment care for women and families whose babies die each year. I am proud to say I was elected to the Board in 2016 and have served as Treasurer since 2017 and in that time ISA has contributed to global initiatives such as the Lancet Series on Ending Preventable Stillbirth, WHO Global Health Assemblies, the ISA Parent's Voices Initiatives in India and Kenya, and the ISA Global Stillbirth Regestry of supports for families. Please consider donating to this amazing organisation, run by volunteers but with the ability to affect change in every corner of the globe. ISA, like Ireland, is small but mighty!

ISA was founded in 2003 by three bereaved mothers from the USA to prevent stillbirth and improve bereavement support. Their vision was to take a global approach to promote learning and sharing of experience across the world, and to integrate three core groups: clinicians, bereaved parents, and researchers.
Twenty years later, that vision is becoming realized! Today ISA has 192 members - more than double the numbers in 2018 and covering all regions of the world. Members include individuals and organizations with almost a quarter of them from low- and middle-income countries.
Since I joined the board over three years ago I have been amazed at the courage and commitment of parents and the unwavering support of many health professionals and researchers. We all continue to strive to make a difference for babies and their families. Now we have more tools and evidence to drive the needed change. Join us in this effort!

This organization doesn't really do anything. I searched and searched for an organization that was doing stillbirth research after I lost my son. When I talked to these folks they couldn't tell me just what they had accomplished or had in process. They are comprised of a number of organizations from around the world - I would recommend you skip this organization and find an organization that meets your interests in your own country.

This org is made up of other member organizations, both nonprofit and for profit. If you don't care that your donation might not affect the stillbirth issue in your own country, or go to support another family experiencing stillbirth, but used to cover overhead and possibly travel for this organization, then you will want to donate to them. if you are interested in supporting stillbirth reform and family support in your own country, I suggest you look at their member list and contact one of their member nonprofit orgs in your country.
