This will be my third year making blanket for the graduating seniors. Each year, seniors who are in foster care are given a handmade quilt, among other gifts to celebrate their accomplishment of graduating high school. It truly is a work of love and the Day 1 Bags team is amazing guiding us through every step. This organization truly has a heart for every child in foster care to give them dignity in the most difficult circumstances.

I love participating with Day 1 Bags! As a quilter who has made and donated to their quilts for seniors program it warms my heart to see the hard work Hunter and the team put forth to see no child is forgotten. I really feel like they live the motto “Dignity not trash” with every interaction, communication and opportunity to be involved. I am so lucky to have heard about this great organization!
