My boyfriend and I started looking for a dog a couple months ago when we spotted little Charity on the Almost Home Foundation website.
The site was very well clear and easy to find information on where we could come meet her at an adoption event, so we headed to the next event she was at.
We had a great time meeting her at PetSmart and getting to talk to her foster mom, who answered all our questions about Charity and the adoption process.
After applying we had our home visit where both foster parents came over with Charity to make sure it was a great fit. They were very understanding about our limitations with my boyfriend's allergies and gave us time for him to spend enough time with her to make sure they wouldn't be a problem (and they weren't! 🙂)
We were able to go to the next adoption event and pick her up and bring her home.
Overall we had a great experience and found the perfect dog for us all thanks to this great organization. I would recommend them to anyone I know looking to adopt a pet. I appreciate how they take the time to do the home visit and really make sure that this will be the right pet for you, and right human for them. They really care about all the animals they care about and you can see that in how they operate.
