My daughter and I just attended the Mommy and Me weekend on Jekyll Island and we are so grateful for the experience. Our trip was peaceful, fun and such a sweet way to connect with my teenager. She helps our family so much with her younger brother, often handling his challenges with a compassion and maturity that humbles me. Although I know that the hard things in our life are shaping her into the person she’s meant to be, I also often feel guilty about the “normal” things she has to miss out on. I’m so thankful for this time away with her to acknowledge the blessing that she is to her brother and to our family. Thank you A Mother’s Rest for this special gift, it no doubt made a difference in our lives!
