Review for Peace At Home Family Shelter Inc, Fayetteville, AR, USA

Rating: 1 stars

I emphatically agree with the previous review. This "non-profit" receives millions of dollars each year from the government and donors. Yet the money doesn't seem to be put to use the way either expects it to. Their hotline isn't so hot. IF they answer, you will likely receive a message "we have no room. Try again later." Then once you are able to get in they make all kinds of promises that you soon realize they had no intention of keeping. For example, they don't help you look for a job. They don't help you with transportation other than a ride to the interview. If you get a job they will take you the first week then they will let you use a bicycle. Then you will likely get kicked out at 40 days so that they can move other grant money attachments in, keep yours before you are able to get a place to live, and then start the cycle over. Some of the advocates have really bad attitudes and lie. But all of them lack training and/or skills. They lack empathy skills and cannot possibly identify with the trauma you have lived.
