"I’m a science and space writer in Colorado Springs, and I’d like to congratulate Kimberly Ray, Founder and CEO, for her efforts in education and conservation. She started with nothing but the desire to make a difference and has kept up the effort, often on a shoestring, for several years now. I didn’t know her when she was running we were Sustainable Seafood Experience (SSX), but met on Face Book after she’d started Marine Conservation Network (MCN). I was doing a paper on satellite tracking of whales at the time, and our interests coincided. She ran an article by me condensing the paper on her website. We later did a longer live interview, which went very well, and I was able to connect her to an orca scientist to help with her work. I especially applaud her international outreach, a rare thing for such a small organization to essay."
