I participated in my first modelling workshop in physics sponsored by the AMTA two years ago and it transformed my teaching. I now exclusively using modeling methods of instruction in my classroom and my students are performing better than they ever have in the past, at all levels of instruction. I have since taken three graduate courses designed around AMTA materials and I get as much out of learning the modeling process as my students do. I strongly recommend that all physics teachers try this method of teaching.
