I have attended several AMTA workshops. There has never been a time I was disappointed; instead, I would become so excited to get back to my classroom and try new ideas to the benefit of all of my students! Because of AMTA workshops, I am a better reflective teacher, I am a better instructional teacher, and my students have reaped the benefits. There is nothing I do in my chemistry classroom that doesn't reflect something I have learned from these amazing colleagues! How I see the students and his/her thought process, how I have taught students to explain their thoughts verbally, with particles, and with graphs has allowed students to take control of their education. It is no longer me spoon-feeding facts! The past 12 years I have learned more about myself, the student and my chemistry curriculum thanks to AMTA.
