My experience with the St Christopher Fund has been a combination of working with them in multiple roles for over a dozen years. Time has provided the opportunity to watch the organization mature into a force for truly improving the lives of professional drivers and the industry in general.

As an industry professional I've developed a strong trust for SCF and seen first hand the demonstrated value in their services to the entire industry.

As a volunteer I've personally invested many hours in the mission of SCF because of the impact made in the lives of drivers.

As a donor both professionally (as an industry professional representing a previous employer) and personally (with my personal funds) I trust donations are used how SCF says they will be used.

SCF has created multiple programs to proactively improve the health and lives of professional drivers with the goal of reducing the number of drivers needing monetary assistance. That's a supportable and commendable strategy in my book.

Driven to be Health, Rigs without Cigs, Diabetes Prevention Program, and vaccinations including Influenza, Shingles, and Pneumonia, all available in locations that trucks can easily access, is proof that the SCF strives be more than just a funding mechanism for drivers needing financial assistance.

These programs are critical to their mission to increase their value to the industry.

When one combines all of the above with consistent high ratings from "Charity Navigator" and other non-profit watchdogs and any concerns a donor may have about donations being absorbed by administrative costs should be put out of mind.

SCF simply makes a difference in a complicated situation unique to each applicant. This, and effective programs to improve the overall health of the professional driver, makes them indispensable in our industry.

I would encourage support for SCF in every role I've been blessed to participate. They are great people doing great things in our trucking industry.
