Ah CNEER!! It is the only horse, donkey, pony, mini rescue I know of that consistently makes a difference. After I retired in 2010, I volunteered at several equine rescues. From its inception as a small farm rescue to where it is now, a property devoted to curing the hearts and bodies of equids, and the people who love them, it stands apart. It has enriched my life and provided me with purpose. Given the immensity of the crisis and the lack of public funding I highly recommend this charity as one that makes a difference. I have volunteered at other rescues who could not survive the task. This group of dedicated volunteers with stellar leadership from Vicki Berry and her family is in my opinion a shining star of everything a rescue should be. It has truly impacted the lived of countless animals. It comes complete with happy-ever-after stories from heart-rending beginnings. The volunteers are educated by Vicki and Per Whitmore (horse trainer) in methods to ensure that every handling of a horse is a training experience to further their possibilities in their future homes. If you are looking for a spot where your donation will not be divided into management, advertising, ETC, one where every penny goes to the cause…this is it!!
